  • Psalm 119 How blessed are those whose way is blameless, Who walk in the law of the Lord.

It's so good to be blameless before the Lord.  All I have to do is go before him and confess my sins.  He forgives me because of Jesus.

  • Psalms 139 O Lord, Thou hast searched me and known me.  Thou dost know when I sit down and when I rise up.

I'm so appreciative of the attention my Father gives me.  I'm ashamed at times when I think that God searches me because I get dirty from this world I live in.  But I'm so happy he cleans my heart as I ask him.  I want to see him and be pure in heart.

  • Personal Holiness in Times of Temptation

    Toughest temptation
Must deal with the issues of unholiness.  62% of men say sexual temptation is their greatest temptation.  It brings guilt and shame.  What is God's answer about victory and liberty against this trial.  It's not to hide it.
    1. What's the Lord's Standard?  1 Corinthian 6:9 sexual immorality...will not inherit the kingdom of God.  The body is for the Lord.  It is his sanctuary.
Sexual immority among other things is looking upon nakedness for pleasure.
    2. What's the Lord's Provision?   1 Corinthian 7:2-5 God is direct about this.  But because of immorality let each man have his own wife and each woman have his own husband.  The word have is a command.  Get married.  Let the husband fullfill his duty to the wife and the wife to the husband.

  • As I was waking up this morning I listened to the Psalms.  This psalms really stuck out:
Psalms 128  Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in his ways,  You will eat the fruit of you labor, blessings and prosperity will be yours.  Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your sons will be like olive shoots around your table.  Thus is the man who fears the Lord.  May the Lord bless you from Zion all the days of your life; may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem, and may you live to see your children's children.

I don't deserve any blessings from the Lord.  I'm so happy he loves me.  I do want to stay pure and clean in his sight.

  • I'm reading a book by George Barna.  He has statistics that show 2 out of 3 teens don't know what their purpose in life is.  Without a purpose we live a aimless life.  I remember as a teen that aimless feeling.  I hated it.  I appreciate all the teens that responded to my question as to what their purpose in life is.  I want children & teens to be heard.

  • I had a great weekend - Men's Retreat in Huron, SD.  Chuck Brewster, retired Secret Service Agent, was the speaker.  He had some great stories.  I've been thinking about the verse in Romans 12 - Be transformed.  I'm working on a article for children.

  • Now this test I like. It lies but I still like it.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

    My blog on Parenting

We've been studying the Beatitudes in Heir Force (5th & 6th graders)  It's been fun.  Last night the kids when they saw their picture or name on the big screen had to jump up, say a beatitude and run up front and do one of five things:  jump rope, crawl, hula, run or jump.  Next week we're going to get into what each beatitude means.

  • My blog on Parenting Advice

I had a good productive day yesterday.  In the morning I did 3, 5th steps.  (The final step before a person gets out of rehab.)  The first person was in terrible shape because of drugs.  I enjoyed talking to the last person.  He was a 17 year old.  I saw a lot of hope for him.  His parents are Christians and it appears they support him.  I believe it was a divine appointment that we met.  He seemed to take in my advice and completely turn his life over to Jesus.
