What are your thoughts on fortune telling, horoscopes, black magic, witchcraft?
I have gone to 2 fortune tellers. The first one didn’t tell me anything, the second one wanted my money. Horoscopes are fun to read as are astrological sign traits and what have you. I think of them as fictional. Black magic I don’t know anything about. If there is a such thing, I’m sure satan’s behind it. Witchcraft? They stopped burning witches a hundred years ago.

::i heard once of someone who was told by a fortune teller that she would have a boy. when she ended up having a girl, she was devistated. dont remember what happened but it was something tragic, like suicide or murder

Anybody who believes in magic or card reading or horoscopes or anything like that clearly doesn’t use their brain. The same goes for those folks who believe that praying works any better than magic. Bunch of crazies.

i think that black magic, fortune telling, and any kind of wichcraft is pretty satanic. But thats only if your like really into it. I personally dont believe in it for the reason i just said. But those are my thoughts.

Sylvia Brown is pretty famous she has her own website. But shes usually on the Montel Williams show but she usually gets alot of predictions right.

haha, I hope you’re joking. Are you like some kind of crazy preacher taking a survey? Magic, etc…excites me. Black magic, not so much. There is actually a christian magic, white magic. I hate people who just sit back and read bible verses and think that they are 100% true. I think it’s ignorant to sit back, and not look at other points of view. To ignore things like that is rediculous. The christian church is kept alive to keep people believing in something, so they won’t have time to focus on other things. Like what our government is really doing behind our back. The christian church keeps the rights and wrongs. Without someone telling you you are going to hell, would you really obey the 10 commandments? It’s just a system of controlling. That’s all. I do believe in God…I just think that the only part of the bible that is true is The stories and documentations on Jesus. The rest of it was changed when it was translated, if you read the real bible, it says nothing of what the bible says today. It could be changed at any time. It was written by man. Magick and etc. would not exist, if it wasn’t real. I’ve seen real things happen, it works. It just depends on the power of your mind. Whatever you believe.

well, the question depends on what u mean by “magic”. magic is love, energy, feelings, thoughts of the mind. not the magic like hocus pocus, but love is created by God so love is magic. but i have no opinion over all of the other stuff u asked me. i am not saying i believe in all of that and i am not saying i dont. only God knows the truth completely. i like 2 read books on witchcraft books like harry potter, wicked, etc. but i dont know wether i believe in all of that or not. i dont like 2 make indefinate assumptions.
but i like 2 read that horoscope stuff but i dont know how true it is or wether i believe in that. my mom believes in a lot of that stuff. but she believes that magic is love. that magic is taken symbollicly and means something more than what ppl think of it. magic is love that lies in everyone’s heart. i dont believe in dark magic. why r u asking me all of this anyways?

Sure, I beleive in the supernatural, but I won’t go as far as to say you can call up the devil by twirling around and forecasting the future with giant balls of gas burning billions of miles away.

I happen to believe in Mother and Father God. I believe in Love unconditional. I believe in respect for all things that show life. I believe in living life simply; like the children. (<—- as Jesus said) I believe in Free Will for all people to worship the way they feel is true to their heart. (and not be judged by it)
I believe in looking and thinking out of the box. I believe that man made Religion is not perfect and there are flaws.
Sadly, I belive in ignorance and closed minds. Some people could not function without their narrow vision. Some people want only black and white. I am sorry for those people. Why? Because they are putting limits on our Higher Power/ Powers. We cannot concieve a perfect picture of our God, because we are mere humans. Mere humans can’t comprehend of complete and unabandoned love. We want to make him human, give him mortal beliefs, but God is nothing but love, perfect love.

First of all, who are you, and how did you find my xanga? Second, I must respond yes and no to your question. You see, I am very educated in the Church and their beliefs( try going to a Catholic grade school since you were 3,and now being in a very good and upstanding Catholic high school) but I disagree with them partly. In answer to your question, however, I believe in all 3- that does not mean that I practice them however. Black magic ( correctly spelled is black magick) is definitely out there, and it is definitely bad. Evil is always going to be out in the world, but it doesn’t mean it’s satanic like many people are trying to say ( many of you people probably don’t even understand what satanism is- look it up!!! Don’t just go against something without knowing about it- it’s called hypocracy ) Next, I believe in tarot card readings simply because I’ve done them myself and they have all proven true ( these are my opinons, so don’t go preaching to me on it ). Besides that though, I feel that the “magick” of tarot card readings, as it were, comes from within us- not some evil source. Third, I believe that fortunes aren’t really able to be told, simply for the reason that the what most people think of when they think of fortune readings is old ladies with crazy eyes and a crystal ball, who ends up being a fake. In reality, it is possible for some people with the gift to foresee the future or get premonitions- it happens to all of us, although it normally happens in dreams. In summary, yes I believe in magick, but not what you believe magick to be, I’m sure.
Well, my friends were doing drugs and now they are not, so that is what normal is…umm, I get my horoscope emailed to me everyday…I think its good.?

There are some who have harnessed the ability to contact the spirit realm and tell the future. Some see things in dreams (as I have on MANY occasions), some can see or hear what others can not. Do I believe in fortune telling? Yes. I even have some experience with the Tarot. Do I believe that all who claim to be able to ‘see’ in the future really can? No. And I believe that those who have these abilities are blessed by God.
The horoscopes in the newspaper are more for fun than anything, but when you get into more specifics about how the planets, stars, etc. were alligned at the time, yes, I believe that can be helpful information.
Magic is harnessing energy to achieve something. Prayer is magic. Casting a circle of protection before chanting/saying a rhyming poem or spell, this is magic. As long as you put our positive energy, you recieve positive things. Likewise for the negative. Are there people who practice ‘black magic’? Yes, but curses are not real unless you want them to be upon you.
I do believe in witchcraft. Witches are not old hags with warts who cavort with the devil. As a matter of fact, I’ve met many witches and none of them even believed in the devil, let alone worshipped him. I don’t believe in a ‘devil’ either. Evil exsists because in an imperfect world there must be good and bad. Witches practice rituals to attune themselves with nature or to become more spiritual.

- black magic and witchcraft: hmmm well, i believe in both witchcraft and black magic, as in, they exist in the world. however, i follow only witchcraft, not black magic, which, from my standards, are pretty much different. i dont know about how other ppl might think, but i think witchcraft can go two ways; a good way and the bad way, which become black magic.

hey.. I don’t know how you got my site but I am glad you made a comment in my xanga.. Nice to know you. I am Christian specifically Catholic and I don’t believe in any stupid witchcraft. I was just posting my thoughts about the animal corresponding to the year I was born. Anyway, I am Filipino and the Chinese are close to us since we are Asians. Naturally, we also take time to join in whatever celebrations or something but it doesn’t mean that I believe in silly witchcraft or horoscopes or anything. I believe in God’s word only.

Hmm……….I didn’t think middle-aged men had their own xangas. Well, whether people believe it or not, magic, “black” or “white,” exists. Demons are very real, and many have been its witnesses. Many irrefutable documentations have been written about demonic/satanic activity. Those who do not believe in it are staunch atheists/materialists whose worldview cannot contain such metaphysical beliefs.
Interesting verse from the Bible. Very interesting are people who deny its inspiration. The Bible attests to a nonphysical world, part of which demons inhabit. A lot of people have reinforced the Bible’s statements. It is of no use arguing.
Thankfully, one day, Jesus, G-d’s Son, will intervene on world affairs, and institute a peace that no one can and will breach. Witchcraft and other satanic activity will cease to exist. ”Amen. Even so, come, L-rd Jesus” (Revelation 22:20).
