  • I do have to reply because I received a comment from a person that basically said we need to separate ourselves from what is unholy.  (I invite healthy discussion)  Jesus taught in parables.  He wanted people to see God in everyday life.  He connected what was happening in the society to God.  Whether it was bricks or a fig tree his disciples had been taught to see God in those things.   We can be in the world but not of it.  I love being around sinners because that’s where I sense Jesus is.  I don’t mind stepping over a beer can but not partaking of it as I speak to someone.  I was privileged when people I knew asked me down to the bar because they were talking about me.  I graciously excused myself from it.  They were inviting me into their world.  They understood why I couldn’t go.   The fact of the matter is that sinners invited Jesus to come into their homes.  Did he blast their sins?  A BIG NO  He went and loved them.  Only the religious people had the problems with it.

  • thanks very much =)

  • No, I don’t play soccer, I just try to keep up with certain activities.

Curious about the last line of your statement above.  From what I have read on your site, it seems like you are a religious person.  So is your last line merely you stating a fact, or pointing out the hypocrisy that can be found in some religious people?

  • i couldn’t agree with you more :) I love spending time with people of this world, not partaking int heir activities but rubbing off on them, :) actions speak so much louder than words :) thanks for sharing!

  • yo viking 50,

he is referring to religous as a type of “worship” where you do thing to get to heaven, in Christianity you dont do nothing to get to heaven, its a gift, therefore not a religion, hope that helps
