  • On February 1, 2003, the space shuttle Columbia broke apart just minutes before it was scheduled to land at Kennedy Space Center.  All seven crew members were killed, including shuttle commander Rick Husband.  Evelyn Husband was thrust into the national spot light.  She said something in an interview that really encouraged me. The question: How has your own relationship with Christ helped you cope with your husband’s death?  “There has been this overriding sense of peace, a sense of God’s hand and His absolute intent to see us through.  People commented when they came to our house after Rick’s death that they were amazed at the presence of the Lord.  It’s still here.”
We need to speak God’s truth and when we do there will be obstreperous people.  I had to delete a comment because of a such person.  That was too bad because I personally don’t mind if someone disagrees with me, in fact it’s healthy.  God gives us peace in those circumstances and his presence is so wonderful.  With that in mind keep going for the truth.

  • hey dude.. thanks so much for the comment.. do you have aim or something?

  • That was a really big tragedy. But we have an awesome God who sticks close to us through such times. Some people think God distances himself, but he doesn’t. Sometimes we cant feel God’s presence, but hes always there to give us peace and comfort and support. He loves us.

  • wow, people sure leave you interesting comments, but I am sure that makes you even happier because I bet you know that God is using this site to minister to people and Satan is trying to discourage you . Nice profile pic! Did someone draw that for you? Tell everyone “hi” for me…oh I was gonna ask you…did Alisha lose a lot of weight? It looks like she did judging by your newest family pic. SHe looks good-she always does (all of your kids do). I like her new hair style too with the blonde in the front. I sure miss her and Kristina. We had some fun times . Anyways, I was going to let you know that if we make it to Omaha in a few weeks like we have planned we are going to stop and see Derek’s grandma in Yankton. Maybe we can stop and see you guys too , I was also wondering if Annette had her baby yet? She hasn’t emailed me back in a while. Talk to ya later! God bless!

  • I figured that Annette would have had her little guy by now! That explains why I didn’t get a reply, hahahaha…she’s busy being a mommy. Man, I have been wanting to lose weight myself…now I have lost a lot since I’ve had Maliyah (of course) but there’s still lots to go! Well, tell Alisha that I said “congrats about the weight loss and that she looks really good!” I compared your recent picture with your older one and she looks so much more happier and confident.
Noah is turning into a little man, hahahahaha….he’s such a stud. All the girls are going to love him (poor pastor Randy). Austin is a little cutie too. Danielle turned into a total teenager, but I guess that’s what happens when time passes . Alisha Dawn and Brooke look a lot older too. I can’t believe people change that much in a year…goodness. Kristina is the only one who I think pretty much looks the same-her hair is longer .
Ok, now you see how analytical I really am. I think it’s one of those things where you don’t realize how long it really has been since you’ve seen people, so you expect things to be the same, but as time changes people change. Well, I am rambling now! These early morning with Derek and late nights with Maliyah are getting the best of me . Sorry for writing you a book, lol. Have a good day and be blessed!
