  • A group of us ministers get together each month.  This past week we had a representative from James Dobson ministry.  Chris gave us an update as to what Focus on the Family was doing.  He briefly gave a report on the legislation to define marriage as between a husband and wife.  The fire storm began.  The Lutheran Pastor and the Episcopal Pastor were outraged.   They both were red faced as they expressed their support of gays and lesbians.  The President of the ministerial had to shut the conversation down because it turned really ugly.  I say that because I would suggest you ask your Pastor where he stands on the issue of homosexuality.  If he’s for it the run from that church.  I’m appalled at the acceptance of something God clearly describes as rebellion.  Sodom was destroyed because of homosexuality.  I personally refuse to get into any discussion of this issue because my mind is closed to any other view point.  Homosexuality is wrong.  If that’s narrow minded then I’m narrow minded against sin.

  • I know exactly what you mean, i got into a discussion with a guy in my grade, actually used to date before i was a christian :S, about christianity, and he is lutheran, when homosexuality came up it got ugly…not even just homosexuality but a very liberal view on the bible, and im not condemning lutherans, i jsut wish all people would see the bible for what it truly is, not try and twist it to what they want it to mean…. but yes i know the feeling well :)
    Have a great day!
