  • Flying Snakes  I was reading an article about Flying Snakes. Flying snakes are a small group of species of tree snakes that live in South and Southeast Asia. At rest they appear like a normal snake, but on the move they’re able to take to the air by jumping from a tree, flattening their entire body, and gliding or parachuting to the ground or another tree.  I couldn’t help but think of the verse that says. “As Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness so will the Son of Man be lifted up.  People either love the cross or hate it.  They either respect the cross or disrespect it.  Christianity is a bloody story.  It’s the only religion in the world that claims God came to earth, was born, lived, and died upon a cross.  Why?  To destroy sin within human beings.  Anyone that refuses that gift will keep their sin – forever.  Sin may be enjoyable for a moment but it creates so much pain.  I remind myself of the cross daily – you should also.

  • i think friday the 13th is just a day with a number, like any other day. and yourself?

  • i really hadn’t realized it was friday the 13th.  wow, guess i missed out

  • it was yesterday..? i ono

  • I prefer flying squirrels myself.  I don’t think that someoen must either love the cross or hate.  I fall in between myself.  I don’t like to dwell upon the cross, but I would rather remember that Jesus conquered death.  I don’t guess an empty tomb would fit on a necklace all that well, however.  My biggest problem with the cross is that I think it is a symbol that some people use to show their belief in Christ, because their actions do not.  (Matt 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.)

Anyway, sorry to make this such a long post, but I was curious about the post you left on my site.  You had said that in church you watched the superbowl. Don’t you find that contradictory with keeping the Sabbath day?  (You know, taking attention away from God to watch other people work.)

Please don’t get me wrong.  I think everybody has the right to believe what and how they do.  (Like I don’t watch the Superbowl….Yeah, right)  I am just curious as to your thoughts.

  • I read that article yesterday..

  • And I’m not Christian, in response to this.

I don’t believe there is any God at all.

I do not hate the idea, though. I just can’t believe it.

  • I will not be travelling to South and South East Asia.  I am a serpent in the chinese horoscope, but I don’t think I can tolerate real live snakes.  Especially, flying ones!  Sins are always looking for carriers.
