  • Here’s a scenario: You give your friend a present for her birthday. She opens it and is so over taken by the present she completely ignores you.  Day after day she spends time with your gift and not you.  Your feelings? You hate the present because it took away your friend. That’s how God feels. He gives his creation gifts and they place it above him. Last night in service I was impressed with this thought. In the dismissing prayer I lead the church to put down everything and put Jesus as number one. I have to do that constantly in my own life because things creep in. In these verses God is telling them that they have taken the things he has given them and has made idols out of them. God is in pain.  Eze 16:16-19

  • Randy…

I do not understand the comment you left for me… about teenagers and why they dress “goth” or “punk” or whatever… I assume it is for self expression… I am not a teenager… haven’t been one in a few years… and I’m not sure what you were getting at by the whole thing… but I’d like to let you know… that I like heavy metal and punk rock, ripped jeans and my eyebrow ring, I like my tattoo and I like to use bad language once in awhile… and on top of all of that, I am a christian… and I do not believe God loves me any less for the music I listen to, or the clothes I wear, or whether my next door neighbor thinks I am a punk or a trouble maker… he knows me… and that’s the only thing that matters in the long run.

I do not know if you were trying to be judgemental by leaving me that comment. I do not know if you were trying to lead me here to find Jesus. I just wanted to let you know that I never lost him… he guides many of the things I do every day. I think it’s wonderful that you want to spread the word of the Lord, that is exactly what he wants you to be doing, I am sure, and from one believer to another, if you were making a pre-judgement on my character… you should have looked deeper. I appreciate you dropping in.

  • You left the same comment on my Xanga, and I don’t know how in the world you know me and/or found me, but could you care to elaborate a bit as to your intentions?

  • hey  i was at my friends site when i saw this site and about ppl dressing like punks

i dress all different ways it may be punk or prep and i skateboard. my parents like most parents who have sons or daughters who skate think that we hang out with the crack heads and drug dealers, sum may but i havent gotten it acroos to my parents that i skate for christ and try to help other ppl follow him. so just cause ppl carry skate boards dont mean that they are crack heads or punk trouble makers its actually the opposite once you get to know the ppl that skateboard ull find out that  they actually are christians and im seeing more and more skaters arrive at my church every day . and even more at the skate park. i just wanted to tell every one that just cause ppl carry skateboards dont mean that they are druggyis crack heads

    tommy

ps plz leave me a comment on how you feel about the skateboard community

  • Who are you? i see you have also left a comment to a friend of mine from college…..who are you

  • As you can tell, some of us are curious about your attentions when leaving that question on so many blogs. I will be more than happy to answer your question if you will answer sola__gratia   and munkin34′s.  :)

  • i guess there’s a few of us from my school who you’ve left comments & questions for.  I concur with sola_gratia as to wondering your intentions… but it seems a harmless enough question, so I’ll give you an answer.  God is the most important person in my life… other than the fact that I wouldn’t exist outside of Him, there would be no point to existence without Him.  there’s your answer, now can we have ours?

  • Umm, you asked me who was the most important person in my life, and yeah I will tell you now.

This is wierd for me, ’cause I have never been asked that kind of question before. I really love my little brother. If anything happened to him I would be crushed, and I am really protective of him, but then… take one of my friends away then I would also be crushed. I was taken away from my home country, and I have friends from all over the world and I love the different cultures. So I really have no idea, and I have so many things dear and close to me in my life, things meaning people, sorry, and yeah… sorry I can’t decide…

  • you’ve left comments on a bunch of people from the same school “Randy” (just because there’s no way of knowing if that’s your real name, not an accusation or false identity, or anything) who don’t seem to be affiliated with yourself (or at least to our knowledge).  Something tells me though you must be somehow affiliated, because I’m not even on the BC web ring. So now you are intriguing. Anyway, thanks for the e-props, comments. I responded on my site. Meaning–come visit again and you’ll see the answer! haha <><

  • just remind yourself  that tommorrow is Friday and go YAYYYYYY hehe

have a great day and thankx for the props as always…..

now, time for something to eat…

  • Alright, fair enough.  I just didn’t know how in the world you found my Xanga and got just a bit weirded out.

As to your original question, if you read my profile I’m sure you’ll find your answer.

  • Thank you for your comment you really help me a lot I am greatfull for your encouragement and faith.

  • hello. i dont know how you found my site….but the most important thing in my life, is many things. my live, my friends, my family, my religon(and its not christan, sry) and the most important one in my life? i could answer that, but since i dont know you, i wont.

  • It is definitely fun to dream about Heaven… I can’t wait.

  • my family… they encourage me in God, school, doing what needs to be done, etc. i wouldn’t survive without out them.

  • to be honest with you…Jesus is the number one person in my life… My family is also very important…but Jesus is THE number one person that is important to me. Small sidenote…do I know you? :)

  • you asked me wat wast the most important thing or one in my life….my answer is my best friend peter, he’s suicidal and if i had to choose between him killing himself or me dying so he could live, i would choose for myself to die his life to the fullest and get married, have a family, and live out every dream he has every had. he means the  world to me and i dont no wat i would do if i ever lost him

  • hey u left me a comment on my xanga asking me what will heaven but like soo, i think heaven is a place where everything is perfect where everyone worships and honors God everyday i think its where people who have died from some kinda of illness is now all better and dont have to worry about every being sick i think its where no one crys, and everyone is always happy and always nice to one another, i think its where theres no violence and teens worring about living there lifes, but thats just what i think.

  • Love the song “Irene”!!!! In answer to your question, i responded in an email cause i am verbose :)  This one has certainly generated some interesting responses.

  • hey… you left a comment on my site a few days ago.  in case you’ve forgotten, you asked me “what will Heaven be like?”.  the reply to your question can be found back at my site on todays post.  have a good one.

  • the most important thing in my life would have to be love…. yes… love is deffinitely the most important. oh and by the way… do I know you?

  • oh… and i really like your music.  ive heard them all on Q90. theyre cool

  • why did u ask me who or what was the most important thing in my life? and who is this?

  • why did u ask me who or what was the most important thing in my life? and who is this?

  • thats a great analogy with the gift, randy. and awesome Bible verses to illustrate it. it occurs to me that i do not read from ezekiel very much. it’s too bad that i read some books of the Bible a lot and others not so much, b/c they all have good things to teach us. i will admit that i struggle with other things taking God’s #1 spot on my priority list, so to speak. it is good for us to reflect on what in our life tries to take God’s #1 spot and be able to put a finger on exactly what does.

  • the most important ‘thing’ in my life isn’t really a ‘thing.’ i consider love to be extremely important. and to love the people that are most important to you is the best way to go.

    how about you?

  • to be honest i would become jealous of the gift and start to resent after a while!!! so how are you? i love this song…irene!!!

  • Good lesson and verse, dude.

  • Randy,

I round your site randomly and It felt encouraged after I read it.  I am a born again christian teenager and am very talented at singing. I know God gave me that gift to minister to others. I am very proud of my voice but continue to work on not letting my gift get in the way of God.  I want to use my gift to bring honor and glory to God.  May God continue to bless you… Victoria

  • hi… i just ran into ur site and i wanted to say thank you. i learned somethin from God thru this site and prolly not in the way u would think.  i cant explain it but i just want u to know i am thankful.  thank u so much…. u have helped me make a very difficult decision in my life…..God bless u…..:)

  • Hi! I’m Dezi. Just looking thru xanguh and saw ur site! ur pretty awesum! I love your post. It really makes me think about how bad it must be for god, how so many people have abandoned him for the things that he has provided to help us out! I have felt that way before and i hated it. Thanks for really putting things in perspective for me! Hopefully , we can become friends. I’ll ttyl8rz!!!

    !!-Dezi-!!
