psalm91believer said something that really spoke to me. (Click on the site – there is a great cartoon.) The comment was to savor every moment with your children, they grow up so fast. Kid’s are a gift from God. I have to grateful when the gift is ungrateful. I remember a story of a Father that brought his young son to work with him one day. The Dad was a extension bridge operator. He had to bring the bridge down at a certain time in order for the train to pass by. The son was playing and drifted away from his Dad. It was almost time for the bridge to be lowered when the Dad began to look for his son. The little boy had climbed down onto the gears. Terror registered on the Father’s face. There wasn’t time for the Dad to rescue his son. He had to make a split decision. Save his son or the hundreds of people on the train. With a heavy heart Dad lowered the bridge crushing his son. As the train passed the Dad screamed in his heart towards the unknowing people. ”My son died, don’t you care?” God the Father gave his son, how grateful are we of that today?

Wow-another picture story that speaks right to where I live. Thank you. Awesome you have adopted. I and my two siblings were also adopted. That’s really the ultimate sacrifice, becoming a parent and laying down our lives for our children.
Thank you so much! I will DEFINITELY keep both of them in my prayers and you. God is obviously using you to do great things and you are an awesome example for the rest of us, thank you! God bless you all!
well, I’m done speaking, and I’m just gonna look around Sioux Falls until Thursday morning. Give me a call if you want. take care.
poopie on shitty crackers (and yes I wash my mouth out with soup)
omgosh….wow…two years ago Pat Schatzline did a message pertaining to this story, i am brought to tears reading it….Jesus wants to be crushed with our sins, thats how much he loves us, and we go on not even carry….spitting in God’s face…we don’t deserve his love…ahhh thank you so much Randy!
Have a great day!

Good analogy! I know I have grieved the very heart of God, but he forgives me in spite of myself….
Are you a preacher?
Just curious…( : > Julia
