  • I was watching Dr. Phil last night.  His show was called “Desperate Housewives”.  I was happy to see that he showed the destruction when a life is not lived correctly.  “You will remember your sins and cover your mouth in silence and shame, when I forgive you of all that you have done, says the Sovereign Lord.” Eze 16:63

Dr. Phil simply pointed out the wrong in each ladies life.  I remember one particular lady putting the blame on her husband for the wrong she committed.  How many times have we pulled the “he/she made me do it?  It’s happened to me.  Dr. Phil’s success in seeing lives changed is because he shows each person a photo of their own life.  He then states you and only you can change it.  After a person comes face to face with him/herself, then can change occur.  I think of a story of a husband that struggled to not cheat on his wife.  He stayed strong until he had an arguement with her.  Then he allowed his life to be destroyed by opening up a very wrong door.  If we’re living our lives for another person we will fall, but if we’re living our lives to please the only perfect one then we’ll never fall.

  • Isn’t God amazing, to help me find the humor in sitting in a fresh pile of cow poo, and then telling of it later.

Hugs Randy, I was so glad to here from you.

  • indeed this is true… dependant relationships are damaging not to mention our God is a jealous God.

thanks for passing through, it made me laugh because its xanga, and it sounded like you were literally stopping by when this is a figurative place.

noooow, you’re going to be 29 this year, if you arent already, are you married with munchkins! cute lil munchkins… awww… i mean you might not cuz my dad was a father at 30 (my big brother). anywho.

  • Well-worded my friend. :) ~Cass

  • Ya know, I’ve often wondered if Dr.Phil is a Christian….

  • Dr. Phil’s good, but how far can the heart change go w/o a relationship with Christ? Our spouses will always let us down, or job, or kids, whatever yanks our chain, and sometimes I think we get in this if/then mode of thinking.  If I promise to love, cherish and honor my family/spouse/job, then all will be well.  We all know something happens sooner or later and then who do we fall back on?  From where do we get our peace that no matter what garbage gets thrown our way, that we are comitted to go the distance?  Yep-Proverbs is awesome.  It’s like crab dinner with all the fixings.  :)

  • I always read your comments on my xanga site…and I’m curious how exactly you ever stumbled upon it.  You sound like a really cool person who enjoys spreading God’s word.  I  live close to Yankton.  In fact, I’m a senior this year at Crofton High…just across the river.  Just thought I’d drop you a line…please get back to me on how you first found my site.  God bless.

  • my mission trip is in SD. i’m gonna be in Rosebud, if that’s anywhere near you. i don’t really know where Yankton is.

  • randon props…

    haha cool site!

  • Yea, I’ve noticed that too… I wonder if he’s just afraid to lose a bunch of his fan base if he professes it… well that is if he is a Christian… who knows?  There are lots of people who “act” like they’re a Christian but aren’t… they just believe in it’s how good you are that gets you to heaven….

  • right back at ya

  • I don’t always agree with Dr. Phil, but he uses his show to help others and that’s fine with me. I do agree, however, that we should live our lives to please God.

  • Hi Randy,

You asked me a while back about what I thought Heaven will be like. We’ll behold the face of Jesus Christ; I can’t think of anything better.

  • That is an amazing entry.  I watched that show too and was so surprised as to see why that woman was blaming her husband for her wrong doing.  We just have to live for God and not our flesh.

Thanks so much for your prayers!  We will see what happens on Friday.  =)
