We saw the movie “Dreamer” last night. It was really good. I came away with the sense of what a good Dad does. He spends time with his children. (I’m typing this in between holding my 16 month old on my lap.) Before the movie started I had a good conversation with my 10 and 5 year old. I can trully say there is nothing more satisfying that talking to my children. My 15 month old is very demanding. She brings her book to me and I must stop everything and read to her or else she gets mad and throws it at me. (She can get away with that now because it’s cute. ha ha) Am I bragging? Absolutely, and I will continue because it’s a role model parents need to send out to the world. Fathers are extremely important. Mother’s are as well. I’m just happy to see a movie that raises the level of Fatherhood. Let’s do a little more bragging about our parenting.

I received a stinging comment posted by Homemade Sin on my last post. She was a very angry young lady. I’m seeing more and more of that. She made the comment that the Bible was written by men. Yes it was but there’s more to the story. My 10 year old son asked me last night at the dinner table this question: “How do I know the Bible is real?” I told him the Bible was written by 40 different men over a period of approximately 6000 years without contradiction. No other book on this earth can make that claim. Sure anyone could pull verses out and make it appear to contradict but in reality it never does when you stay within the context of each verse. How else do we know the Bible is the Word of God? It has many predictions that have been fulfilled within it’s covers. I could go on but it’s suffice to say the Bible proves itself.

I’ve been looking into the children of presidents. It’s very interesting. Most of the children did not do so good in life. It appears they couldn’t handle the instant fame. George W was the second president’s child that became president. The first was President Adams. There is a strong resemblance between the Roosevelt family and the Bush Family. Both had 5 children – 4 boys and 1 girl. The youngest in both families died at a very young age. Both had a boy that went west, to Texas and then Floridia.
We could look at the accomplishments of great men. I suspect heaven looks at the accomplishments within a family. We need to prepare our children for their future.

A CLEAN LIFE
Ephesians 5:6-7
Dear Father,
Don’t let me be deceived by the empty words of people. Help me not to follow after their ambitions.
I need to be a leader and Father, if I have to stand alone, so be it! Let me stand for you
if the whole world stands against you!
Don’t ever let me forget your commands or forsake you.
In the name of Jesus I ask for the purity of mind and spirit that
was in him. Amen. -
As I was praying this morning the Lord dropped something in my heart. – My View –
The way I look at things is the way I’ll respond to my world. You can see different things in the sky. One person can see clouds and see a messed up day because of possible rain. While another can see clouds and see life. I’m choosing to get a good look at my Heavenly Father and then looking at him. A few years ago I wrote an article named God’s Windshield. I desire to look through the eyes of my creator.
