  • Equations & Happiness

    GENERAL EQUATIONS

A man never is concerned about the future until he gets a wife.
A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend.
A successful woman is one who can find such a man.

    HAPPINESS
To be happy with a man, you must understand him a lot and love him a little.
To be happy with a woman, you must love her a lot and not try to understand her at all.

I was tagged - Weird things about me

If you're tagged:  Here are the rules:  Each player of this game starts with the six (6) weird things about themselves. People who get tagged need to write a blog post of their own and list six (6) weird things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose six (6) people to be tagged and list their names.  So, here goes 6 weird things about me:

    1.  My last name is Tramp
    2.  I married a wolf (Her last name is Wolf of course.)
    3.  My initial are R.A.T & my wifes initials are K.A.T.
    4.  I like squid & octipus
    5.  I have 8 children 5 adopted - one is Native American, one is Guadamalan, one African American
    6.  I live in Yankton - which is Native American for end of the road
    7.  I have 2 daughters named Alicia
    8.  I like  menudo soup - spanish soup made out of cow intestine/tripe
    9.  I've had monkee - tastes like chicken.

  • Hey randy... Hope you and the family have a fantastic weekend! Annie

  • Haha... I like the whole equations things. So true. Anyway - I can't believe you like menudo. My Dad loves it... Have you tried Pozole? No intestines involved. That is MUCH better. haha! :) Dios le bendiga!!

  • k...some of those are weird. i've heard menudo is great for a hangover. :)   have a great weekend!!!

  • wow! you have 8 children?! you guys must have a fun house all the time :)

  • I don't know anything about a hangover - I don't drink alcohol.

  • hmm 4,8,9.....dont know if I would...well I shouldnt say that...I have tried calamari, and didnt like it....had alligator and ostrich though

  • oh yeah, forget about the tagged thing...if you look at my site the day before, I got hit too!!!! hehehehe mine are there

  • Ok..you are two up one on me...never had monkey or menudo soup.  But...thanks for stopping by.  Love your humor.

  • Kimbop is rice, spinich, eggs, korean radish, spam or sometimes I use bulgogi wrapped in seaweed.  It's very good~

  • No Korean radish is not spicy, its yellow in color too.  I love Korean food.  The Kimchi is spicy if you like spicy, its a cabbage dish.

  • Kimchi sounds good.

  • oh hi :)

is it true that u've got 8 children?!

  • thanks for stoping by

  • I love the equasions. I'll have to send that to my husband, maybe he'll quit trying to understand me and just keep making that money.  hahahaha! Ok....on the weird things. My God you are weird...hahahaha. Tramps and wolves, kats and rats...wow! And we complain about one family of children..hmmmm! You and your wife must be special people...that's beautiful. Sqid..ok...octopus..ok, but monkey! oh my goodness! You're quite the adventurous eater! My husband wants me to try menudo. He's had it since moving to Vegas and he loves it, but he also loves other innerds. ha! Tell me something....when you call Alicia....how do they know which one you want????? Have a wonderful day.

  • Yes! Let others do their charge - the best thing to do when you're in charge!

  • uh oh.  now i'm tagged too.  i'll have to do a similar post!!

  • I'll be looking forward to it.

  • Some people like the raw hide song the first 10 loops - then it wears on them! LOL! Have a great day!

  • Yes I maintain both sites and yes I wrote the story

You have 2 kids named Alicia? That most get really confusing
And I would never ever eat cow intestines or monkeys either

And guess what my sister named Lydia is 16 and I am 12

  • RYC:  I have always been cautious with my kids and being out alone...even playing.  But I do know that there has been way more media on the kidnapping of little Ben.  It seems the media has realized their part in helping with these types of situations.  It is astounding though that Kirkwood is within 40 miles of both childrens homes...and for 4 years...the world was unaware of what was going on..right under their nose.

  • LOL! Yes! That probably shortens the comments!

  • thanks. =)

  • RYC:  No, we haven't lost electricity yet...keeping our fingers crossed.  We have two more bands of ice and/or freezing rain promised over the weekend, so who knows.

    Thanks for stopping by!

  • The name thing is very funny. My initials are TD and when I was younger people called me teddy

  • Thanks for stopping by my page.  :)   You have interesting things to say.  And you are a children's minister??   Very interesting.

  • grrr, I'm sorry.... sometimes it doesn't show the first comment after I hit "submit" and then I hit submit again and they both show up.

  • Thanks and I don't mind

  • Me and my husband want to adopt a Guadamalan baby boy one day. I think those babies are so beautiful! I go and look at websites every now and then picking out the ones I fall in love with. You'll have to share your adopting experience with me one day. Me and Jarrod love our girls to death, but he wants a son extremely bad. He wants that father son relationship that he didn't have w/his dad. That was a rough road for him. But adopting is something that we really want to do one day. I had trouble w/my c-sections having our two girls and it's something that me and Jarrod don't want me to go through again. I must admit at times I do want to have another, but I just think about my troubles and it's like "Nope."

  • Hey Randy,
How are you? Good weather there?  It's weird here. All rain, no snow. Bummer.

Anyway, you are really...interesting. I mean, I've seen those kinds of things before, but I don't think I've seen any as weird as yours. Your last name is seriously Tramp? And your wife's maiden name was seriously wolf? That's awesome! You have other cool stuff too, like the intials and the two daughters having the same name!! I mean, wow!  ...yep. wow!
Also, you have 8 kids!! I've only personally met someone with the high of 7 kids! -I know two families, actually, with 7 kids. 8 though! Cool. How old are they? What are their names? Details man. I didn't even know you had kids!

    You never tagged anyone...

Have a great day and God bless,
                                                         *smile*
                                                                     -Miquelie.
    PS

  • Call it Calimari instead of squid and it not only sounds better, it tastes better too.

  • ryc: I read a ton of different types of books. My favorite books are In the Country of the Young by Lisa Carey, The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger and anything by David Sedaris and Augusten Burroughs. What about you?

  • Great list! You are not weird. You are VERY interesting! What a beautiful family you must have! Thanks for letting me stop by,

  • Well guess what we didn't even go at all haha!

  • RYC: I can relate...when Lance (my 18 yr old) was two I had a yardsale at my mom's house. During the setup, she thought I was watching him and I thought she was watching him...but 5 seconds of terror later...we saw him standing one foot from the line (ont he shoulder) on the two lane divided highway in front of the house!!!! Let me tell you...that run from the end of my mom's back yard to the front (3/4 acre) was the longest run of my life. And the cars (45 speed limit) were just whizzing by him and not even slowing down at all! It was a horror!

  • pretty with lots of nature to see. :D

  • Who are you?

  • I love octopus and squid as well!! I also love to eat samll intestine soup.

you sure you aren't asian in past life?? lol

  • Fortunately chicken will always taste like chicken.   Same with alligator, but a bit more chewy and moist.   Must be from the fact that they are in the water a lot!

  • I'm not sure anyone or anything is considered weird in God's eyes.  But, here goes...

I'm an American born Chinese with a mom who grew up in a big city in China and a dad who grew up in a village in China.  My great grand father immigrated to Canada and left my grandfather behind.  Then, my grandfather decided to come to the USA (San Francisco) shortly after my dad was born.  He left his two wives, one concubine, and his kids behind.  He eventually made enough money to live in an apartment, but he could only bring one wife over to the states (i.e. my blood grandmother).  My grandmother and all the kids (including his other wife's) immigrated over when my dad was in 6th grade.  My dad was drafted into the army at age 18 and enjoyed being stationed in Germany.  He fell in love with a German woman and decided to extended his stay for 5 more years (9 years total).  Unfortunately, my grandmother did not allow him to marry someone outside of his heritage.  So, my dad was set-up by my aunt, at my grandmother wish, to marry my mom, who illegally immigrated to Hong Kong from China.  My mom was a seamstress earning minimum wage and my dad was a medical correspondent at Kaiser Hospital.  So, I had a blue collar/white collar upbringing.  My dad was very much into setting up and decorating the Christmas tree (a German tradition he embraced) and being kind to his neighbors.  My mom's passion was money and material objects, along with all the underlying problems which go with it.  In terms of exotic foods, I've had turtle soup, snake soup, dog meat, eel soup, cow/pig intestines, cow ears, cow/pig tongue, cow spleen, tripe, cow stomach, cow brain (i.e. sweet bread), fish eyes, fish eggs, sea snails, crawdads...most of which I didn't know what I was eating until my mom told me afterwards (i.e. she didn't tell me the truth...so a lot of...eeeeeeww grooooss...spit..spit...went on in our house).  I went to China for the first time in my life about two years ago with my father to visit the village and city where my mom grew up.  It was a very eye-opening experience.  I found that I understood what my parents more as a result...why they do the unusual things they do.  For example, my mother grew up in a city of people who eat anything that creeps, flies, walks, or crawls.
