    Animal Truisms

A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.

An aquarium is just interactive television for cats.

Buy a dog a toy and it will play with it for ever. Buy a cat a present and it will play with the wrapper for 10 minutes.

Although cats are rather delicate creatures and they are subject to a good many ailments, I never heard of one who suffered from insomnia.

Dogs and cats instinctively know the exact moment their owners will wake up. Then they wake them 10 minutes sooner.

Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.

Dogs believe they are human. Cats believe they are God.

Dogs may shed, but cats shred.

Don’t accept your dog’s admiration as conclusive evidence that you are wonderful

I hope to be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

  • ha. those are adorable.

  • i’m not animal lover but prefer dogs over cats; esp when they are pup..precious:)

  • we should only be more like them. They always are ready to go for a ride with you. Greet you like they haven’t seen you in ages. Sit with you and gently nuzzle and don’t say a word when you’re down.

  • sporty is here

  • Princess sits at the bedroom doorway when it’s our time to wake up. She is soooo funny – she doesn’t come in, but sits and waits.  Cats & dogs are smart animals. Princess will also come and watch TV with us — Never had a cat like her b/4.

  • Ain’t that the truth!

  • Very true!!

I made pretend I was leaving the house and came back I know in 20 seconds….and my beloved dog Moose greeted me like I was gone for a zillion years.  Now why can’t men act the same way??  : )

  • This is an outrage.  This is cat discrimination.  How dare you.

  • Pets are an earthly example of God’s unconditional love for his children….All creation is a gift.

  • These are great!  I love the aquarium one, & this one: Dogs have owners. Cats have staff. Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend. ~ Carolyn

  • The things about the cats are so true.  Right now one of my cats is standing on the windowsill outside, just behind me, and is beginning to claw the mosquito screen.  She is waiting for her maid to get up and go and open the door.   Better not keep her waiting.  Bye
