Intervention
I watched a disturbing video yesterday. It was an A & E show called “Intervention”. The reason it was disturbing was because it was about a person I watched grow up in the church. At the age of 30, Tressa was a meth addict. Several years ago she was on the way to the olympics when she testing positive for drugs and was disqualified. That was the beginning of her downward addiction. As I watched the show, I saw the Tressa I knew so many years ago to the Tressa that has been destroyed by meth. She is now in a recovery facility in California.

Wow, so you knew her PERSONALLY? That MUST have been distressing…..
I love that show. It’s amazing to see what they go through.
was it good disturbing or bad? is she clean and sober now? I have seen people who have been saved and you can see it in their eyes.
My sister was in a rehab type place at 15…for meth. So I know how horrible the stuff is. I wouldnt want it on public television, but Im glad that show exists. Ive seen it a few times.
GREAT Franklin quote!!!!! Wow!!!!
That is sad….. hopefully it is not too late for this woman……
That is rough. So much of a promising future cut short.
God can heal and He can change hearts.
SHes impossible. Shes 16, married, Has a 6 month old little boy…And doesnt even think the marriage will last a year. I dont mean to sound judgemental, but, everyone tried to tell her she wasnt headed in a good direction…I was in a similar situation at her age, BUT, I was MUCH more mature.
i can’t imagine how tough that is. i glad i listen to my family or else i would def be in bad place.
that quote is so full of truths…Randy
I am kind of surprised at the amount
of people that still want to hide
addictions….when it is such a huge
part of our daily living…whether it be
drugs, food or sex…we live in a society
of excess and additions come with having this
excess and if we never share…most afflicted
will continue to feel helpless and hopeless.
Thanks for Sharing.
It would be hard to watch one of those shows about someone you actually know! I’ve lost a few friends to drugs over the years… it’s a hard thing.
How sad for her and her family. Maybe the show will help her straighten out.
that show intervention always makes me so sad… my prayers are with tressa – for nothing is impossible with God!!!
Meth addiction must be overwhelming. My heart goes out to her and her friends and family for there is probably a lot of pain there!!!

Praying that Tressa completely recovers and replaces her addiction to meth with an addiction to Jesus.
