A goldfish has a memory span of three seconds.
So, when a fish gets to the end of the fish bowl, he thinks he has a new home.

We’re off to butcher a beef today.  My kids are excited it.

I took Alisha to the eye doctor yesterday.  He told her that she’ll probaly have to have a cornea transplant in a few years.  (Before we adopted her, she got glass in her eye and her birth mom tried to get it out instead of going to the hospital right away.  Alisha describes it as her birth mom cutting her with a knife.)

  • That is kind of like my poor short term memory mom who keeps saying when she opens the cupboards,”where did all these cans come from?”

I wonder about those kids.lol  does he still use the white butcher paper? or now the see through stuff?

I feel for Alisha-hopefully everything will go well and I beat that dr. is a real specialist.

  • Oh poor baby. What an awful memory to have.

    HAve fun doing the beef.

  • Yikes! What a horrible thing to remember, no kid should have to face something like that

mmmmm I wouldn’t mind beef right now I’m envious , have a good day!

  • Thanks, Randy

HE is here with me. And, it is a very sad time.

  • Did I miss the groundhog?  Did someone say steak?  *slurp*

I am happy for Alisha…she is having her eye taken care of, by two wonderful, loving parents.

  • Deffinately an aweful memory to have about your own mother. Its nice that someone is getting it taken care of!!!

I wish the groundhog would have had a different answer. I dont want more winter, Im already OVER being cold. *pouts*

i can’t understand pple way of thinking sometime. wish the transplant goes well.

  • LOL @ you. You are as funny as I am. “Killing me” indeed!

  • I actually think he lies when he says theres going to be an early spring…afterall, does spring not always usually come around between march and may ANYWAYS??

  • Butchering beef… As a kid I don’t think I would have ever found that exciting. Haha.

    Cornea transplant? Awww…

  • I know of a lot of scientists who share that Goldfish trait!

  • Thank The Lord you two have her she has improved so much. I am happy to hear how much better Noah has become it is unfortunate that Brooke had to be gone for him to improve. I hope Alishia Dawn gets the transplant I am sorry that her Birth Mom tried to take it out that reminded me of when Brooke was sneaking the cookies out of the cookie jar and I said Brooke what are you doing and she broke the cookie jar when she jumped from being startled. Then with out her thinking she got down and got part of the ceramic in the bottom of her foot I got her down put a towel on her foot and had her against the wall legs up against it and had them up while I got her to the doctor but to try to do that on your own and I was worried about her leg and when Micah jumped off the coffee table and her frozen kit kat went completely through her lip I didn’t move that either took her to the doctor that way having that taken out not by a doctor I wish she never had to go through that and remembering that but she knows you and Kim take very good care of her and she loves you very much I could see that when I was visiting I saw it with Noah and Brooke I pray for you every day when I pray for myself as well I wish your family the best always

  • I want to be the fish in the fish bowl just today though three second span would be good for today

  • That fish story it so funny.  Sorry about your daughter’s eye.  That is terrible.

  • We had a beautiful day in western TN. I had the windows down on the car for a little bit!

  • I now know what my problem is . . . I must have goldfish genes! LOL ~ Funny … another side to the ground hog legend! Have a blessed Sunday… Carolyn (Does Alisha’s eye bother her a lot – pain-wise? Praying for her just now.)

  • I guess that means a goldfish has a memory about . . . I forget

    mmm…. cow, yummmm

  • I wish I had a memory span of three seconds.  It would make each day more interesting.  Everything would be new.

  • I love the comic!

I’m sorry Alisha had to go through that horrible experience! But God gave her you and your wife to love her.

    Have a great day!

  • “A goldfish has a memory span of three seconds” what grant paid for that study and how did they come up with 3 seconds. Did they take into consideration all the gold fish with poor memories into the pool of stats. Worth a smile just thinking about it though !

  • Ouch =( eye operations suck. Hope everything works out well.
And for the fish, sheesh he must be living a good life =]
