    Today's Cartoon
I remember as a boy going into the garage and playing “outer space”.  My Dad had a lot of old radios and such in that garage.  I would line em up and spend hours traveling space.
Where did your imagination take you when you were young?

    House ransacked by deer

PARKER CITY, Ind., Feb.1 (UPI) — A confused deer broke into a Parker City, Ind., home and left a trail of blood and damaged property in its wake, a neighbor and friend of the homeowner said.

Jerry Morgan said he approached the home, which is owned by his friend and former high school classmate Monte Jeffery, after he noticed a front window had been broken, the Muncie (Ind.) News-Press reported Thursday.

Morgan said he immediately phoned authorities after seeing a mess of blood and broken glass in the living room, fearing the worst.

“My God, there’s been a murder,” he said he thought at the time.

Morgan was soon joined by Parker City Marshal Rex Amburn. The two men entered the house and soon found themselves face to face with the intruder — a panicked doe.

They tried wrestling with the animal but that didn’t help matters, so then they cleared a path to the door and the doe soon bolted out of the house.

Jeffery, who maintains the house but spends most of his time living in Virginia Beach, Va., said his insurance company is trying to get out of paying for the damage, as his policy does not cover intrusions by deer.

  • Could I be the first comment here?   Depends on how longwinded I am!

My imagination took me everywhere!  I was one of the Dukes of Hazzard, Luke Skywalker, or Indiana Jones.  I was content in outer space as well or in an archaeological dig.

Add to that all the books I read…..I was EVERYWHERE!

    Ahh….good memories!

  • I wanted to ride with the Lone Ranger too.

    Oh deer!

  • i would be terrify if that happen to me.

    have a fun day!

  • I used to make a “witchs’ stew” in a big galvanized tub in the yard when I was little. I had a lot of fun pretending I was making something magic. I loved mud pies too. I was a really avid reader all my life so I spent a lot of time imagining other worlds in books

  • 1959-60, I told my mom that someday there was going to be a car and you didn’t have to drive it. You could tell it where to go and it would take you. All you had to do was sit and go for the ride.

  • I remember making mud pies and being surprised when they tasted like dirt instead of chocolate.  LOL  Maybe that’s why I enjoy cooking so much now.

  • I dreamed of outer space and exotic places.  I haven’t been to outer space, but I have been to exotic places.

  • we pulled dad’s parachute out from WW2  but decided that it was so big -covered the whole yard that we would try to stuff it back and it’s silk -so you guessed it -we got in trouble when dad got home
