Endeavour
Afterlife
After dying in a car crash, three friends go to Heaven for orientation. They are all asked the same question, “When you’re lying in your casket, and friends and family are mourning over you, what would you like to hear them say about you?”
The first guy immediately responds, “I would like to hear them say that I was one of the great doctors of my time, and a great family man.”
The second guy says, “I would like to hear that I was a wonderful husband and school teacher who made a huge difference in the children of tomorrow.”
The last guy thinks for a moment, and then replies, “I guess I’d like to hear them say, ‘ Look, he’s moving!’”Endeavour undocks from ISS, begins journey home How do you rate your church in sleepability?
1- Too exciting – couldn’t go to sleep if I wanted to.
2- Exciting – but I occasionally will nod.
3- OK – but I struggle with dream land.
4- Average – Instead of saying “Good Morning, I think “Good Night”

I hope it makes it home safe and sound!
Happy Wednesday!
Ha, funny story.
I don’t currently have a home church, I’m on the search, but my old one didn’t have any sleep factor. At least I don’t think so, but it never ceases to fail to find someone sleeping.
I love this cartoon…just recommended your post…have a great day….Mike
that is funny-I think he’s moving
yes, and in the summer with the air-conditioning you can’t help but sleep
Funny! I think my present church is probably a “2″, but I’ve been in a church that was definitely a “5″! (That would be “I bring a pillow with me to service.”
Indeed! (as far as what I’d probably like to hear..ha,ha…of course, for us as believers all we want to hear is, “well-done, good and faithful servant” )
When I was younger, I worked midnight shifts, and would have my wife pinch me if I started to nod off…VERY painful! ; )
blessings…jim
@waiting_for_the_final_trumpet - bring a pillow to service – lol. I thought of our all night prayer service that we have once in awhile. The pastor recommends that we bring a pillow. but I know that’s not what you mean. -lol
@jillcarmel - a late Easter joke.
That made me smile….
Sometimes it is just hard to stay focused in church…
When I have worked the previous night for 12hrs and have not slept too well the day before… well sometimes it is a struggle. I usually do pretty good until the singing stops. For some reason, our church people seem to like to dim the lights and burn the candles. Well, that is a little dangerous for a person who is up past their normal morning bedtime.
I do have a loving church family and they understand my need to be with my brothers and sisters and the desire to worship with them, even if I am tired.
I’m always sleepy on Sunday mornings… but I manage to stay awake .
LOL! God bless!
