Laus Deo
The east face of the Washington Monument reads “Laus Deo,” which is Latin for “Praise be to God.” It is just one of numerous inscriptions on Washington, D.C. monuments that point to America’s founding on Judeo-Christian principles.

Makes you wonder about our liberal politicians of today. How they can say we can’t have the word “God” on anything.
@Kowpatty - I really believe we lost the Civil War in the spiritual realm. Abraham Lincoln issued a warning about turning from God. It wasn’t long after he was gone that Charles Darwin’s Evolution came on the scene. That was the beginning of turning from God and now the rest is history.
