Toyota
Breaking News– Toyota owners should stop driving cars affected by recall, take them to dealers, says U.S. transportation secretary.
I have never seen the government ever make a statement like this. Makes me wonder if the US Governement is intentially trying to hurt this foriegn auto dealer.

The official who told people to stop driving the recalled cars came out and said he misspoke.
You can certainly think of it that way. Toyota has announced a fix plan for the sticking pedals so it’s not like they are just lollygagging around.
@laytexduckie - Really? Misspoke. Well, those words could never be taken back. It hurt Toyota. That person needs to be fired. Thoughts on that?
@Randy7777 -
Possibly. I mean, like I said before, Toyota already found a way to fix the problem. So, for him to just come out after and tell people to avoid the cars is just pure stupidity. It’s even sadder when people actually listen.
The problem is that although the accelerator sticks, you can still have the car stop. Slip it into neutral, apply the ebrake and turn off the car. Slide it into reverse to stall out the engine. People just panic too easily.
Randy, you and I have seen a LOT of things from the government that we’ve never seen before, in this past year or so. “Change”, is what Obama called it.
