Kalli
Kalli is having a hard time going to Kindergarten again. (Her teacher highly recommended it.) The kids are teasing her about it. I’m going to go to her school for lunch today. Hopefully that helps. I had to repeat 3rd grade twice. (My Dad died during that year.)
Did you have to repeat a grade when you was growing up?

I did not, but I kept two of my sons back one year. The school was going to advance them, but they hadn’t not learned the basics. I fought hard to have them held back. They were mad at me then, but have since realized that it was for their best.
I repeated grade 12. I had completed my credits but didn’t feel ready to go to university because I knew it was going to be a big adjustment and a lot of work. I also changed university programs after my first year of biology… I failed 3 of the 10 credits and really didn’t enjoy the program. I switched into nursing and finished my undergrad on the Dean’s honour roll a few months ago! It put me 2 years behind a lot of my friends but it was just the way I had to do it.
When she moves into grade 1 I bet she is going to be more confident with the schoolwork, all the best to her

@steph843 - Nursing – Congradulations on the Dean’s honour roll. My daughter Danielle is in her second year of nursing. She’s just getting everything ready. I think she starts classes next week.
