I’ve recieved some answers to the question: Why follow Jesus? I’d like to get some more answer for the article I’m writing in our local paper. Thank you
Such an easy question . . . well no it is hard to put into words isn’t it
Sorry! Can’t help you there.
Because I want to. I guess the next question is why do I want to follow Jesus? Too many reasons, and most of them personal.
I suppose the best answer I have is Why Not? I think I would rather believe and find out I was wrong than not believe and find out that I was wrong. In this world you have to have something to look too, Jesus is my something.
Because I believe he’s the Son of God and died for my sins.
Sorry I am late with this but I’ve been busy this week.
I thought of the same answer as bloggingqueen.
I guess, basically, I do because I sensed the Holy Spirit’s call to follow him, and I answered it. When I was just a small child, I remember dreaming about Jesus. I did not grow up in a Christian home, however. The silent version of “King of Kings” that I saw around Easter time every year at our neighborhood theater had a great impact on me. I choose to believe that Jesus was God living with us, that he died for all of us; but also that he was the greatest human teacher. Those constitute reasons I chose to follow him.
