A Marine pilot prepares to launch from USS Bataan This takes me back to my Navy days.  I was on the flight deck watching air-ops.  The plane captain turned the plane into his crew by mistake.  They went flying across the deck, over the side as fast as turning a fan on paper.  Incrediebly the nets caught the airman and all was ok.

  • When you’re doing something like that there’s not much room for error is there? Great that the nets caught the guy. I like taking pictures of airplanes.

  • @guestbrief - No, not much room for error.  It’s said that the aircraft carrier flight deck is the most dangerous job in the US – especially at night.

  • I agree, that was a very dangerous job, good thing for nets! Glad you enjoyed the funnies!
