  • War

Some days feel like all out war – even having nightmares of being over taken by cats.  I’m reading a devotional book that was written for our men in uniform during World War Two.  One particular devotion said in order to stop war we must stop fighting for what “I” want.  It took me to the 23rd Psalm – I SHALL NOT WANT.  Why? Because He is my Shepherd.  OK then, I’ll allow myself to be broken while warfare goes around me and seek what He wants.  Will this stop the flying debris?  No, but I’ll enter the eye of the storm and be at total peace.

  • Being in the center of God’s will is the best, safest place to be. He gives a peace that no one or nothing can give. Peace even in the midst of a storm or war.

  • I read this first on Plaxo, but I prefer to read on Xanga and comment.

Staying close to The Shepherd is a wonderful way to have peace in the midst of turmoil. I also like the “Serenity Prayer” because it addresses ”control issues”. Peace comes in relinquishing the desire to control those things that are beyond control.

  • @DonnaLou - I forget that I hooked this to Plaxo.  I really like Plaxo and how it keeps the contact information updated and connected to facebook as well.  Do you use Plaxo a lot?

  • @Randy7777 - I have an account at Plaxo because others have invited me to be linked. I get alerts in e-mail & then I will go to Plaxo, but I don’t use it for myself much. If I link a Xanga post to Facebook, I think it’ll post to Plaxo & other sites where I have accounts. I don’t link Xanga to others very much.
