  • Expression

Many years ago I directed a camp for the disabled.  I learned one big lesson.  Give an individual an opportunity to express himself and you have a new person.  The camp did just that.  We created an atmosphere where freedom of expression was given.  We set up the boundaries and the direction. The campers did the rest.  It was an incredible week.

Do you feel you can express yourself in your present position in life?

  • Probably more than I should.  ; )

  • Yes…more than I ever have been able to do before. It’s a good place to be.

What you described sounds like an amazing week!

  • Yes, I think so! Probably more so than ever before — except maybe during the time I was involved in acting in community theater and as a part of “atmosphere” in TV & first run movies. Now, it’s via opportunities to sing childrens songs, tell stories and present workshops at festivals and to entertain seniors at retirement/assisted living/rehab facilities.

Also Xanga and other social sites provide for self expression, I think.

Bless you for the work you did with that camp!

  • RYC – It really is great to have a praying Dad. Even those who didn’t have praying parents can be praying parents or people.

I express myself quite a lot.

  • @Kowpatty - Funny – So in other words you get your 100,000 words in each day? -lol

  • @adamswomanlost - It was a great week.  We saw so many miracles.

  • @DonnaLou - Yes, xanga is a great way of expression.  I really like it.
