We got ahead of the snow and ice and we’re in Aberdeen. (3 1/2 hour drive)  Kim’s dad is turning 75 and we’ve have a birthday party for him at 1 this afternoon.  We were amazed he agreed to this.  We piled 7 of us into a 2 bed room and so far so good.  I pray we all stay in a state of comity.

Do you use “omg”?   It made me think of it from my Psalms study.

  • 7 people in a 2 room???? Wow I do hope all will be good. How long are you guys staying there? Tell your father-in-law Happy Birthday from me.

  • No, I do not use OMG.  I, also, conveyed to my 5th and 6th grade SS class that they need to think of what it stands for before using it.  I may have told you about then 6 year old grandson who started using the word “barnacle” quite often.  His dad finally asked what that meant.  He replied, “It means the same thing as dammit, but I won’t get into trouble using it.”  He found out he would get into trouble using it from then on.  Just because you cover something in gold, doesn’t change what is in the center.

  • Hope your FIL has a HAPPY Birthday!
I say “Oh my gosh!”, probably too much.
Be safe in the ice and snow!
    HUGS!

  • Glad you got ahead of the storm and wow–that’s crowded, but I am glad ou got to give your FIL a party–Celebrating is always good.

And no, I don’t use OMG.

  • @Kowpatty - I agree – I don’t like these “near” swear words and my kids do get in trouble for using em.  Have a great Sunday.

  • @stephensmustang - It was a great time.
