Secrets
In my job I deal with very personal issues with people. I could write a book. Sometimes I’m in the middle of something with another person that gets so crazy I just want to spill out, but I can’t. Confidentiality is top importance. When I think I’ve heard it all someone does something that tops it. There are many issues that I can’t tell another soul, even my wife. I’m there right now.
Question: Can you keep secrets?
Family Feud Question: What is one thing people fear?

Yes, I can keep secrets. Of course there are times I want to say something, but I don’t.
I share everything with my husband, so I supposed I don’t keep secrets. I could, but I don’t.
FF: Spiders.
Mhmmm, I know quite a lot.
I’ve kept a couple of secrets in my day. These days I share everything with my husband, sometimes much to his dismay….I’m sure he’d prefer I had a filter. Ha ha.
Although secrets royally suck, I am definitely one who can keep them when asked to. However, these are generally the private thoughts of various people who I am close enough with that I can forsee what may occur if their secrets became public, making it relatively easy to keep them to myself. I think a career where secret keeping is imperitive and essentially part of the job would be extremely difficult to deal with. When the secrets belong to random people who may not play an intimate role in your life, and you can’t even share the information with those who do…I think it must be extremely difficult, and I certainly give props to those who can do it successfully while keeping their own head in tact.
I tell my boyfriend almost everything. it would be hard to keep a secret, but I think I could do it if it was that important.
also, to answer your FFQ: rejection
I could. Even my job requires that.
Yes I can.
I keep things confidential because it’s required of me at work and what I do. In my personal life, I also keep things to myself.
I can keep a secret pretty well, if it’s something dark and deep or something really important. I have a harder time with stuff I consider silly.
I think people fear rejection more than anything.
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
I don’t have many secrets to keep except my own.
However, when people tell me things, I know when to shut up. I think something we all fear is our abilities and disabilities. Sometimes we feel so hidden inside of ourselves and we’re not sure what we’re capable of. Sometimes we try things and fail and sometimes we try it and succeed. It’s that trial and error that can mess people up and cause insecurity.
I am a professional secret keeper. Everyone I know would back me up on that. It pisses me off how secrets spread like wildfire in high school.
I’ve been initiated into the mysteries. Secrets that have been around for thousand of years. So, ya…I can keep a secret. I better or else they will cut me off.
That has always seemed to me to be the most difficult part of any job which requires confidentiality. To be emotionally challenged by something and not really have any support is painful. I would think it would be even worse to have someone with whom you needed to maintain intimacy, yet be forced to keep secret things which greatly affect your emotional state. Props for staying the course.
I can keep a secret if I understand why someone wants it kept, but if it seems silly to me, I tend to forget not to mention it. For instance, my grandmother drove over a big rock and messed up her van. She didn’t want her sons to know, but I feel it’s absurd of her to think they would try to stop her from driving for something like that. So I forgot and mentioned it to my dad. I need a better censor.
I’m good at it (: But I can’t hide anything from my mom (:
Particularly professionally, of course I can. More than that, I can refrain from telling others I’m keeping professional secrets.
Yes! Which secret do you want me to keep? lol Just a little humor. Seriously though, I really can keep a secret. That’s where trust comes from. Willing to be apart of someones life. Care enough to not tell what someone share with you.
One thing people fear? The first thing that popped in my thinking was death…
I can keep secrets. Recently my bother and his girlfriend fell pregnant and he told myself, siblings (4) and mother. We were sworn to secrecy with the most exciting news I have had in ages. About 2 weeks went by and I had not told a soul, however getting pissed off because I had found out. My sister told a friend. My other two brothers told their girlfriends and a few mates and my mother well she just about told the whole world when she announced it on the loudspeaker of her workplace that she would become a nanny.
Bursting with rage from the insides I waited until I was told I could tell people…. and then told-on everyone else who had blabbed. LOL
If you say to me “Don’t tell anyone” then I don’t. However if nothing like this is said then as far as I take it that means I can tell whomever I please. Same rule applies for myself. I don’t trust many people though because I know they can’t keep their gobs shut.
Yesterday, my friend bought a Polo Ralph Lauren which is so beautiful, i am surprised by the design and style. Do you have Ralph Lauren Polo Shirts now? if not, go to online store and have one, it is so amazing!!! There are many online stores having Cheap Ralph Lauren, i believe you gonna like it!
As much as I love juicy gossip, I can keep secrets if I really needed to. Not gon’ lie, but when people tell me not to tell anyone, I usually end up telling people…
Yes I keep secrets and I keep confidences. I know the one I fear is snakes.
As noted if your Louis Vuitton watches is in the guarantee time period, you should not bring it to a basic watch repair store but only the retail outlet you purchased it from. If it becomes tampered with by someone that is not the authorized dealer you will very likely forfeit the guarantee that it had.
@eatandrant - lol – thanks
@TheGhioniFiles - That has to be the most difficult secret. A baby to be born. I know people that have told me and said the parents want to keep it secret. I ginna laught to myself. Everyone has to know because I’m usually the last person told -lol
@Journaling_Susan - LOL – I’ll think up a secret and let you know -lol
@fabolousclown - I suspect your Mom can look at you and say, “OK, tell me” That’s nice having such a close relationship.
I’ve kept secrets but I’ve also used those secrets against the person who told me the secrets.
FFQ: Loneliness.
Before someone tells me a secret and says,”don’t tell anyone” or”can you keep a secret?” I always say,” I tell my husband everything so if you do not want him to know don’t tell me, but he keeps secrets as well as I do”.
A savant beats being a Jack of all trades master of none, but maybe not as interesting.
What am I afraid of? Heights, mountains and long high bridges and overpasses.
i can keep secrets…i mean that is if you tell me not to say anything…but if your telling me your going to go cheat on your boyfriend who happeneds to be my bestfriend…well then idk about that
Depends on the secret. If its harmful to the person or other people then I won’t keep it for long. If its just a juicy secret then of course I’ll keep it. One thing people fear? I know for me its bugs of any kind…
I can but this is my downfall too. Many people confide in me and I will never disclose their secrets, ever! I would feel like I am betraying that person if i did and wouldn’t be able to live with myself.
I try my best too, but sometimes it just slips out.
Apparently, I can. Hmm, That must be a cool job to have. And, it’s been a long time since I’ve read that word @Savant; thanks.
fear: public speech.. I dont have it but I know a lot of people who do have it. Eh depends on the secret but I tell my husband most everything ;P
Yep, Had to in the past and still have too. I’m good at it.
It is a matter of trust if you can be privy to something that the teller doesn’t want you to share. I am very trustworthy. I am not fond of people who blab about others.
What am I the most afraid of? Deep water, tornados, rattlesnakes, just to name a few of many .LOL
@laytexduckie - lol
@Dominie - Thanks
@boricua_chic_2008 - @Lucy_or_Ethel - Thanks
@bamxocandy - That’s true – all depends upon what it is.
I’m terrible at keeping my own secrets but if someone tells me something in confidence I can keep my mouth shut about it.
I deal with peoples’ personal health information, so confidentiality is important to me as well, though I wouldn’t call them secrets.
I fear sharks.
Pretty effective data, thanks so much for your article. 3 link 4. I found a great deal of helpful info here! 6 6 6. Goodness, there’s so much useful data here! 4 check 2. It won’t truly have success, I believe this way.
