Simple Things
Years ago I allowed myself to hate life and I allowed stress to control me. I was overworked and and the position I had was very difficult. I vowed never to allow myself to get like that again. I haven’t. I had to take on a new frame of mind. Besides the Bible other ways I take on a new frame of mind is looking at the simple things. This morning I just watched a Turtle Dove in a nest with her little birdies.
What do you do to eliminate stress?Psalms 21:2-6

In some ways I am an autodidiact, specifically in the area of writing.Family Feud Question: What state is the best place to vacation?

Best vacay for me is a road trip.
To relieve stress I drive.
I meditate, pray, take and edit photos, and nothing beats a good road trip just like seesower said.
The first thing I do is to try to figure out how to eliminate the source of the stress. My previous job, for example, was highly stressful for quite a few reasons and in quite a few ways. Solution? Find another job, obviously (which I did).
Of course, the source of the stress can’t always be eliminated — or, as in the case of my previous job, the stress did still exist while I was still actually at the job. I find the best solution for me is to take a brief break and find a quiet and secluded place where I can sit alone in silence for a few minutes. Failing that, even just getting up from my desk and walking around for as little as two or three minutes can help.
One of the reasons my previous job was so stressful was that others interfered with my stress-coping mechanisms, either preventing me from leaving my desk or intruding on me when I was in that secluded spot. There were a few times I ended up having to take “mental health days” — without pay, I might add — to compensate for that. There were even a few occasions when I was so miserable there that I actually gave serious consideration to just getting up and walking out, even without having another job lined up. Fortunately, it didn’t come to that.
Sleeping, beading, reading, and cooking/baking help with stress for me
Reading mostly, or venting to a friend.
Frankly I have no idea what I do, because I just give into it.
I tend to work. No, seriously. I love my work, and if I get enough done, no stress!
I read a lot too. Or slay some zombies on the video games…
@seedsower - When I was in the Navy I had a billboard that I would drive past and leave all my problems there. -lol
@C_L_O_G - Driving – I like that.
@TheSchizoidMan - Thanks
@Cestovatelka - Reading also helps me.
@bethro78 - Venting usually makes it worse for me.
@Mal_P - Ouch – thanks
@prettynpink628 - I enjoy most of my work when I’m with the kids.
driving for me but lately it’s been stressing out more haha so I’m trying to figure it out… best state to visit… um, depends on what you wanna do?
I also read my Bible and pray. I love plants and gardening, drawing, reading, and going for a walk to relax. The beach is a favorite place to unwind.
Hmmm, so many of our states our beautiful. We have traveled through most of them, and the natural wilderness is always a favorite. I do love my home state of California, so much to see, and Colorado for the mountains.
@Randy7777 - I saw a report of a study once that indicated that venting does just make you angrier. I think my experience supports that. I have many ways of dealing with stress, and they all come down to one way or another of stepping away from it and deciding that I’m not going to be bothered anymore.
Doing the things that I always love to do,I usually relieve stress by doing some art,either drawing,crafting or listening to some music that soothing my heart. If I can’t find one,prayers and going out to see new things is also the best way. Hope that’s helping for U to relieve Ur stress
A long soak in the tub with lots and lots of bubble bath helps me relieve stress. If I have a headache to go along with the stress though, I go to bed without lights or any kind of noise. And anybody who might be around me knows to stay away…
I play computer games and go jogging.
@SillyHelena - Jogging is a great stress reducer.
@armnatmom - knows to stay away – lol
@shalizm_kireta - Music is wonderful.
@JeffersonJunior - I vent sometimes and it does seem to go deeper into me.
@ABAHM - Oh yes – I wish Colorado was closer. We’d go there more often.
Writing has helped, if that doesn’t I usually just sit in the dark and let it over take me.
@Willowshollow - Yes, writing is great to relieve stress.
I write, read, watch a funny movie or play video games.
the only way i know how to eliminate stress is bu blogging here, talking to some close friends, letting out some steam, listen to most wanted by the cults and morning benders.
if my friends invite me to drink light drinks that would make me loose up a little then that’s a bonus
This implies that our replica watches are indistinguishable from the original Rolex watches. They look as great as original Rolex watches, what is more they do work great, because our Rolex replica watches are equipped with movements of the best quality.
@Ms_Fat_Pinkie - Xanga is both a stress reliever and a stress builder for me -lol
