Movie
I and Kim got away this past few days. We tried out a India Buffet restaurant and it was great – even the goat.-lol There were a couple of little India kids running around and we liked that also. Then we went to see “Soul Surfer”. I’ve never cried so much during a movie. It was so inspiring. Becky Hamilton showed how amazing life can be during and after a tragedy.
Have you seen any good inspirational movies lately?
If my family, friends and myself were a TV program we would be ________________________ Why?

if my family, friends and myself were a TV show we’d be skins. or that 70s show. mostly skins, though.
I’ve seen a lot of Clint Eastwood movies lately, which I missed seeing growing up – talk about inspiration.
But I am waiting to see Soul Surfer, although I may have to get a dvd or download it couse I doubt it will come to cinemas here.
If my family, friends and myself were a TV program we would be something along the lines of Malcolm in the middle or Step by step or Cosby Show or something along those lines.
I really like goat curry. Delicious
I think my family would be like the Osbournes seriously.
Just my own in the last few days. =)
I have such a long list of favorite inspirational movies I can not pick a favorite. If me and my family and friends we’d be a mix of The Waltons and The Adams Family.That makes us difficult to figure out and very different. Very strange in a wholesome kinda’ way.
Wow, I actually have nooo idea what my friends and family would be if we were a TV show; but personally, if I were a TV show, I’d want it to be an intense sci-fi/fantasy action program!! >:D
Heheh, and I’m not sure about inspiring, but my top favorite movies are The Prince of Egypt, Lilo & Stitch, The Island, and Lucky & Zorba. Lucky & Zorba, and The Prince of Egypt are both pretty inspiring, if you ask me, as well as Lilo & Stitch. But my idea of inspiration is probably different than most people’s. lol.
I saw Jane Eyre last night. Found it very moving.
@soullightsky - I love Prince of Egypt, too! Especially when Ofra Haza sings “Deliver Us”. I have that song in all 18 languages that she sang.
@hevcoh - Sweet!
D Hahah. I really need to get the soundtrack to that movie — such amazing songs!! I’d rather watch Prince of Egypt over Ten Commandments any day, to be honest.
@MassiveVortex - thanks
@bmojsilo - I like the Cosby show. -good pick
@C_L_O_G - Very good
@Hinase - really – that’s crazy
@Lucy_or_Ethel - Waltons and Adams Family – sorry can’t picture it – lol
@soullightsky - Intense Science Fiction – I like that.
@YourOuterCritic - What was that about?
I don’t see movies in first run theaters. If one interests me, I get it on DVD to watch. The most recent DVD I’ve seen is over a year ago, and I highly recommend it. It was nominated for an Academy Award, and Philip Hoffman was nominated for best actor as the priest. Amy Adams, as the young nun/teacher, was nominated for best supporting role. Of course, Meryl Streep, was excellent The movie is Doubt. It is the best movie I’ve seen in many, many years, and I highly recommend it. It would be a good movie for a group to view and then discuss. ~~Blessings ‘n Cheers
Twelve year old grandson asked me to take him to “Soul Surfer” yesterday. I screamed like a girl when the shark bit off her arm. Good thing we were the only two in the theater.
@Kowpatty - It was a really scary scene.
Not so much inspirational, but I recently watched “Boy in the Striped Pajamas” and it was quite sad
@ArmyWife4Life2007 – what was it about?
@Randy7777 - Cary Fukunaga’s Jane Eyre is based on the 1847 gothic romance by Charlotte Bronte. Girl is abused growing up. Finds hope. Loses hope. Finds a man. Finds another man. Loses hope. Finds hope. Etc. That sort of thing.
It’s told in flashbacks, so it’s a little hard to follow at times if you don’t know the story. Very good though.
@YourOuterCritic – history interests me – not sure about the on and off relationships
