Flooding
I never thought I’d see Gavin’s Point dam pouring out so much water. The Corp is planning on releasing even more water. Yankton is sand bagging right now in anticipation of flooding. Sioux City is also anticipating flooding. Pierre is already beginning to flood. All along the Missouri river is flooding. Are you having any weather related emergencies where you live?

No here in London we have not any real rain for weeks..we had one downpour last week and that has been about it!
In Pennsylvania last week we had tornadoes but no big time damage or anything else. My area had tornado warnings but nothing happened my way thankfully. It was quite scary to say the least! As for dams, I am not fond of them cause I am scared of deep, rushing waters lol.
We did, but not anymore problems.
We live near the Grand River. It is near bank full but would not take much more to spill over. We’re keeping an eye out on it. You stay safe and dry!
Hurricane season starts in a few days so I’m anticipating that here in Florida will all be shitting in our pants quite soon.
No weather emergencies here currently.
Does the 100 Days of Summer count towards being deadly? Today’s temps in my fair city were 93 high. All this week, it’s suppose to range from 94-98…….
Sorry — it’s gorgeous summer weather here, although somewhat windy near the mountains. Temps around 70-75, full sun, slightly breezy where I am in So Cal.
I’m fortunate not be be going through any natural disasters. So much hardship is plaguing the world right now.
Back home, my county declared a state of emergency, like most of the southern Indiana/western Kentucky area. It wasn’t bad directly in my area, but it was worse south.
No it seldom floods here and I am 6 feet from the river bank.
We’ve been having a lot of tornado warnings in PA. But nothing real close to me has happened.
slmret and I live near one another, so we are equally blessed right now with great weather. They are thinking that mid California may have some trouble when the huge snow pack melts this year. Our state grows lots of fresh food for the whole country, so hopefully the farms will be spared.
@ABAHM - Thanks – yes hopefully the farms will be spared.
@Shining_Garnet - Thanks – nice to hear.
@Tymedancer_is_Grannyinboxers - 6 feet – glad to hear all is ok.
@makesenseofmadness - People there must be really shaken.
@fuzzballs_and_lint - Yes it is.
@andreasiscrazy - Glad to hear that.
@boricua_chic_2008 - glad nothing worse happened.
@slmret - that’s the place I want to be -lol
@Randy7777 - I know I was, especially during the tornado watches/warnings in my area, which were frequent during all the rain.
