Hard to say. I think it’s better, but not by very much. Either way, though, the president doesn’t really have much influence on the economy in any event.
Worse. No denying.
And people will say the previous administration set him up for a fall. Irrelevant. It’s still worse.
I suppose it depends on what benchmark you use to measure the state of the economy, some are up, some are down. That being said, I think it is difficult to make a case that things have improved.
The health of the economy can be measured by:
1. The stock market.
2. Unemployment rate, the lower the better
3. Economic growth rate
4. Inflation rate, inflation is better than deflation, lower inflation rate is better than higher inflation rate.
I agree with @Preachrkid88 – the economy is worse, and it’s irrelevant if the previous administration set him up to fail. The stock market isn’t doing well, oil and food and metal prices are going up, the unemployment rate is up, economic growth rate – complicated but not as high as predicted or desired, inflation unsure, the housing market is down which is also not a good sign. Housing sales and new construction are down, last I checked, which are indicators that things aren’t improving but possibly getting worse.
How is Cody doing?

HUGS and hope you all have a safe and fun 4th weekend!
@TheSchizoidMan - Really?
@Preachrkid88 - I’m tired of the “Blame Game”.
@wearywalden - Doesn’t seem to have improved.
@GeneralRapunzel - Agreed
Worse. I think laissez-faire capitalism would do the trick to fix it, but we seem to be moving steadily away from that system.
It was bad when Bush was in office and now its much, much worse!
In some ways it may be better, but it’s hard to tell. In many ways it seems worse, but I don’t think it’s relevant to who is president right now. We have become impatient people. We are too used to problems getting resolved on TV in 30 mins. to 1 hour or so, but real life isn’t that way. I have lived over 70 years on this orb, and I don’t remember a time when we faced so many serious problems all at one time. That’s something to be considered. There are no quick fixes here. These problems have taken a long time to develop to this point, and many of them will take a long time to deal with. Playing the blame game and politics doesn’t seem to be working to solve the problems we face, so isn’t it time for a different approach???
Worse.
How’s Cody?
we’ll peak again. we dont know how long it will take but we had our time as top dog. now its time to give it up and repeat the business cycle.
