  • Dreams

I sure had some strange dreams the other night.  One dream was an alien science fiction dream.  It was the first night mare I had in a very long time.  Another one was one that I was on board a ship.

Do you have dreams?  Nightmares?  What was your last dream?

Word of the Day: andar  (Spanish word)
I really should go for a andar today.  It would do me good.
Family: Take out week in the Tramp home
    Psalms: 26:7-12

Advice for today:  Know where you’re standing: if it’s between a dog and a hydrant you may want to reposition yourself.

I wish you the best on your birthday, President Obama and pray that you will lead the country in righteousness.

  • Adorable picture and great advice!
I remember at least one dream every night.
Last night, I was a member of the circus and did an act in which I was supposed to roll under an elephant as she stepped over me. The trouble was, I messed it up, she stepped on me and fell down, and I felt so badly for her. I was busy checking on the elephant and everyone kept annoying me by telling me my back was broken, then I realized I was running around without my body.

  • @lanney - Really? -What a dream.

  • Great pic, I dont always remember my dreams, ryc…glad He is calling you today!

  • wish I was 50yrs old again. lol

hey, I was just trying to remember my dream last night and I know I was really working hard in it but I can’t remember now. lol

  • Yes President Obama turns 50 today!

  • @lanney -  Maybe in someway this means that you often “break your back” to help others and set your own necessities aside. i like to think that dreams have a meaning :)

I fear I have an overactive imagination at times. I was in a Hotel room but I was rooming with someone I didn’t like. Next room to me was this guy Mitch who I know and we both wanted to get out of there so I told him my “cousin” lived near. When we got to her house she had a knife to her mother’s throat (I could not see anyone’s face except Mitch’s)I began crying trying to talk her out of it but I was faking it and I knew I had to in order to save this woman’s life. She was upset her mother didn’t celebrate her birthday on August 3rd so Mitch and I took her to dinner and treated nice before calling the cops.

  • I seem to put my dreams aside rather quickly….

  • @vexations - Probally a good thing.

  • @ThexGodfather - Probally means you get really good sleep at night.

  • @Babyboomerjill - Can’t say I ever work hard in my dreams – lol.   Makes me wonder – could a person do a work out in a dream and loose weight? -lol

  • @Blissfully_xyz - overactive imagination – can be a good thing.

  • My dreams are always weird and wild. I think it’s the way my mind releases all the worries and thoughts and etc. Most mornings I wake up and remember at least one dream. Last night, in one of my dreams, I was trying to get a bunch of people to sit down and eat lunch. They kept wanting to do everything but eat! Ha.
    HUGS!

  • Occasionally I will have very lucid dreams that I will kind of linger in for days, but most of the time I don’t remember them past 5 minutes after I wake up.

  • @Pepin909 - Linger for days – I have trouble remember them the next day.

  • @Randy7777 - I’m always working in my dreams but never lose any weight. lol sometimes I’m greeting people and putting them in my bedroom when it gets too crowded in my living room and  I’m like a hostess with the mostest. lol

  • The dreams that I remember are usually dreams of high adventure. I also dream the future. That’s really weird.

  • @LoBornlytesThoughtPalace - Do you have a lot of high adventure dreams?

  • @Randy7777 - I remember my dreams maybe a couple of times a month.

My future dreams always seem weird and don’t make any sense until the event finally arrives. So it’s not like I can tell the future or anything. It’s just strange that mind is able to project itself into the future and come back with a memory.

  • @LoBornlytesThoughtPalace - That is so interesting. We know so little of the mind.

  • Years ago, I took advantage of classes in Dream Psychology at local community college. I learned that we all dream at night during a period of REM sleep (rapid eye movement). However, dreams are not always remembered in AM. REM sleep is important to good health, it appears. If sleep is cut short for too long so that there is not enough time for REM period, it can damage health. When I took the classes, we were asked to either tape record or write down the dream as soon as we woke. Practicing that led to remembering the dream longer. We then could bring our dreams to class to practice priniciples of analyzing them that we were learning. Although there are universal dream symbols that are recognized readily, a thorough dream analysis takes time. Oh, yes, it’s also true that “sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.” . At this point, I remember only vague snatches of my dreams, but that’s enough to let me know that I did have REM sleep.

Thank you for praying for our President! ~~Blessings, Prayers ‘n Cheers
