There was an episode on Friends that Phoebe was looking out her window and saw two of her friends. When she saw more than she wanted to she yelled, “my eyes, my eyes”. At times xanga posts sites on the front page that causes the same reaction in me. I don’t like it. I like clean and pure. I see the real person that way.Thoughts?

I never go to the xanga front page. That’s why I’d never know if I made top blogs. I stick to my UI, because I don’t want to see a lot of stuff.
@hevcoh - I hear you on that. I may have to stop going there totally.
Do they still have a front page? I like to post my naked self. I habitually expose my inner being, shedding my skin, my pretenses and earthly conceptualizations. But nobody ever notices. All they see is the thin veil of humanity that conceals the truly inner me.
I don’t look at the front page on Xanga. It is useless and there is nothing worth ” the front page material ” on it. I hope none of my posts go to front page, I would be too embarrassed to share the ‘limelight’ with the likes of some of those!

Trying to get my new wireless printer to work has nearly driven me insane,
*a short drive*. I look at my computer like I do my car, I just want it to run and cause me no trouble, I do not care how it operates as long as it works.
I feel the same way. I just wrote a blog about it too. I don’t like reading overly-sexual or exposing blogs. They just give me a bad feeling and I don’t like it either. Everytime someone leaves an inappropriate comment on a blog, I feel disgusted every time I see their picture, as I recall what they said earlier. Some things are just better left off the web.

I don’t look at the front page or Top Blogs much. I don’t like reading the drama posts.
@Shining_Garnet - Drama posts add a little spice – I don’t mind em too bad. Drama in real life – well that’s another story -lol
I ignore the xanga front page. It takes all the time I have for online activity to deal with my various blog sites, social networking sites, and teach my online class. I pretty much stay on task when I’m online and don’t spend hardly any time on web sites or web pages that are extraneous to what I am trying to accomplishment.

Xanga is so small these days that normally the front page doesn’t have interesting content anymore – it’s just people who update on a regular basis. Anybody can be on the front page of Xanga, it’s not like you have to be a great writer.
How small is xanga.
I sometimes take a glance, but usually, I just don’t care about a lot of the stuff they put on top blogs. None of it interests me at all. O.o
I love this quote. It is one of my favorite passages in the Bible. I agree with you about some of what appears on the front page of Xanga but it’s even more important in every day life. There is so much beauty and goodness in the world, so much that uplifts us instead of dragging us down physically and spiritually as well. Thanks for reminding me.
I agree. Sometimes the ads on certain sites are way graphic too. It’s borderline disgusting. Really inappropriate!

I never go there any more. Seldom come to xanga at all any more. But I must tell you a true story. (Old people are like that,) Two neighbor couples went on vacation to Branson to see Dolly Parton in concert. The whole time there, the first man sat with his hand over one eye. Finally, the second man couldn’t stand it any more and asked him why in the world he was sitting like that. First man replied, “The Bible says if an eye offends you, pluck it out. I figured I can lose one eye for this,”
