Question

Who said: If we allow blacks in the military it would disrupt the country? President Abe Lincoln said this, but not in the applied way. He wanted the war over as fast as possible and needed to keep the democrats satisfied, who was against abolishing slavery. After Lincoln assessed the situation he found that allowing the blacks in the military would advance the North’s position and he allowed them in the military.Psalms: 28:6-8
Word of the Day: remonstrate
I’m not a person the remostrates very often, but when I do it, I do it with all my heart.Family Feud Question: A state with great beaches.

I can answer the family feud question: South Carolina!
Don’t know for sure, but my guess would be Abraham Lincoln, considering how badly history has distorted his record in so many other ways.
Note my foot prints, I keep coming back to this to see if anyone has correctly replied to your, Who Said question.
The beaches of Florida’s gulf coast, as white as snow.
The media overly remonstrates many things!
I had to look it up and I am sorely disappointed with what I learned. I guess things aren’t always what they seem.
In answer to the beach question: I’d say Hawaii has some really pretty beaches. As to the first question, I looked it up but am unsure if it’s the right answer, since it was on Wikipedia…Abraham Lincoln? If it was him…that makes me sad.
Oh, and I love the Psalm for today. One of my favorites.
Chester Pulley! No wait.. he was against integration.
Abe Lincoln.
FFQ- Florida!
that is so racist isn’t it? it’s like saying women shouldn’t be in combat cause they would disrupt the service. Let’s all be mature adults.
I think any state on the coast would be a good state with beaches.
Wasn’t me.
I think digging deeper into the situation of that time would clarify Lincoln’s standing at the time. Much of his thinking was also that states had their rights over the Federal Government.
Loaded question…. not many in the south would believe he would say that. Beaches are beautiful where ever they are!!!! Have a good week!
Probably Govenor Wallace.
I don’t have a clue…Who said that?
But my Great Grandpa Private Isaac Blakey was in the Civil War: Serving on the Union Side from 1863 -1866 in MS. (He was an exslave from MO.) I have many relatives who served in the military.
I’m not a beach person…
Uhmm, California? How have you been? Hey, I just started a group, “Quotes from the Bible”. Interested? Thanks for visiting my site again! God bless, ~ Pete

@TheSchizoidMan - correct
@Lucy_or_Ethel - good use of the Word of the Day
@Veronica_Leigh - No they aren’t
@VioletEnigma - Yes Lincoln – but it’s not that he was against it, it was a politcal move.
@Babyboomerjill - True
@Journaling_Susan - Lincoln said it – I think in 1862. That’s a great family history.
@Lucy_or_Ethel - Lincoln believed in a balance between state and federal government. He needed the border states support in order to win the Civil War.
@Randy7777 - ”Balance” was the key word I left out, thanks for the clarification.
