Unexpected

I’m taking Austin to see his biological mother today. We haven’t seen her in nearly 15 years. I’m sure the meeting will go good.What unexpected event has happened in your life?

Unexpected…..most of it……probably the most life changing and unexpected was an offer to attend graduate school in a distant state with only one night to decide. I took them up on it.
Most unexpected….my sister telling me she had found our eight bio half-siblings, after almost 50 years. Blew me away. Nothing has been the same since….in good ways and not-so-good ways.
My life has been one adventure after the next. I think if things ever settled down, that would be unexpected.
Sounds pretty exciting to me.
too many for my liking at times.
I hope your meeting goes well! Three of my sons just reunited with their birth mom (they are all adults now) and it was glorious! She and I talk on a regular basis.
Another reunion happened a couple years ago, two of our other sons’ birth dad was in prison and dying from lung cancer. We had been keeping in contact with him and wanted the boys to reunite with him while they had the chance, even though they were yet 18. So, my husband booked a flight and flew them out to the prison to meet with him. Again, is was absolutely a time of beauty.
Most unexpected time in my life: Surviving a direct hit tornado and losing our home and ranch.
Even greater unexpected: having insurance pay above and beyond our needs.
Hope your meeting goes well.
Most unexpected? Probably when my eardrum blew out at a healing retreat in England, and I was so so sick I almost died. Got well enough to come home and have several surgeries. The surgeon said that if my eardrum hadn’t broken then the infection would have gone into the brain. So it was actually an answer to prayer.
Good for NASA. I tend to agree with them.
I don’t know. A lot of unexpected things have happened to me. Some good and some I would rather hadn’t happened lol
Hope and pray the meeting with biological mother went well.
I guess the most unexpected thing recently was report of the EGD/Upper Endoscopy scope that I had in done in July. Some of the report was expected, but I did not expect that a polyp would be found. According to biopsy report, it is benign.
~~Blessings, Prayers ‘n Cheers
My husband had a heart attack and several heart surgeries and was then diagnosed with parkinsons.
@Grannys_Place - So sorry to hear that
@DonnaLou - Meeting went ok. Glad it was benign
@Shining_Garnet - Thanks
@ABAHM - That must of been very painful -
@WildWomanOfTheWest - Meeting went good. Tornado – that sounds very scary.
@LoBornlytesThoughtPalace - Lol – That’s funny
@musicmom60 - That would be shocking to find out.
@vexations - They didn’t give you much time to think about it.
