Relationship

In our food giveaway, we offer a “thought of the day”. It was my turn on Friday. I asked the crowd if I went from house to house and said, “let me come into your house because I’m good”, would the resident let me in for that reason? They laughed. I then added …. But I could enter the houses of those people who knew me, who shared a relationship with me. We can enter heaven when we have a relationship with Jesus Christ on God’s terms.
What’s your thoughts, good or relationship, in order to enter heaven?

Why would we need Jesus if we could be “good enough” on our own?
good question, I hope you have a nice Sunday!
Thanks for the wonderful idea! I’ll bang on the Pearly Gates and demand entrance because I was such a good person during my life.
Not applicable.
I don’t believe in heaven or hell, so not applicable to me either.
We make our own hell on earth here. So as far as I’m concerned, if there is anything real like heaven, all is welcomed.
It’s all about the relationship
I don’t think any of us will know for sure til we get there, but if you have a relationship with Jesus and it is an honest one, won’t your actions be good anyway?
It’s not about being good, but our relationship with Father God. Good example and I totally agree with you.
yes, that did make a big difference
I remember when I took my son halloweening when he was little; we would stop at family and close friend’s houses first and then we went to some houses just for fun that we didn’t know and Steven walked into the first house or two and said,”hi!” because we had been welcomed into the other houses.
when the time comes to go home I think that is what it will be like(heaven)
The relationship comes first, then the good should follow.
