Story
A friend of mine asked me if I needed anything from Sioux Falls. I jokingly told him to bring me back a stack of green stuff. Well he came back with (what looked like) a roll of money. I’ve kept that on my desk as a conversational piece and it works. People want to know how much is in it and why I have it there.
Do you ever create any conversational pieces?

I use my dress shirts…I am known for a big out of the ordinary dress shirts
Hehehehe – epic!!!
I do.
I put various quotes on the hall side of my office door.
I like to wear costume dress (or the odd piece of an outfit) at random times.
Of course having a camera around most the time starts a lot of conversations.
I have tombstones in my front yard.
You get the picture.
Yes but on somebody else’s desk
After a trip to the gulf last winter I handed a sea shell to a coworker, the next trip he wanted to know why I didn’t bring him anything.
Since then I have given him a couple dozen ‘worthless’ things, airline peanuts, hotel shampoo and the like.
He has kept this collection of stuff on his desk creating cause for conversation often.
I have an old Peace silver dollar that came out of the mint with defects. It’s a one of a kind.
Sometimes I wear big accessories like jewelry that people talk to and ask me where I got it and such… if that counts.
Yep, at our last church in the youth room–took a cage, altered it and put a doll with handcuffs in it to represent human trafficking. Also have several ‘art pieces’ that are convo starters.
