  • Pro Choice

Here’s one for you: The last time I checked God is Pro Choice or what I call, “Free Will”. He has created us with free will to choose. He has chosen life and He wants us to choose life. In my “Pro Choice” stand I choose life and I reject the killing of innocent.

  • You are not alone in your stand. One of the things He hates is the shedding of innocent blood. You can not get more innocent than the unborn.

  • The Left co-opts Christian ideas and language and redefines them according to their evil purposes.

  • True. God doesn’t make anyone do what they don’t want to but He chooses life and so do I!

  • @Randy7777 - You have given the true meaning of “pro-choice”. It’s something everyone believes in. The Left takes the idea that everyone agrees with, “pro-choice” and says, “Abortion is a woman’s right to choose.” So if you disagree you are now anti-free choice and anti-woman.

  • I understand that you’re right on this. I just could never label myself “pro-choice.” Yes God gives them the right to choose but He is hurting seeing all the unborn killed off. It hurts my heart to think of what happens during an abortion so I just cannot get on board with being okay with a woman choosing to abort.

Just as I will always stand & side with a child being abused having the right to protection, I feel I must stand & side with a child that is in danger in the womb of being killed in an abortion.

Then you have the hideous scenarios (which are all too common it seems anymore) of FAILED abortions – that are usually left to starve & die or are smothered (killed either way you look at it).

  • Yes, I agree G-d gave us free will and that means we can’t force our beliefs and agenda on anyone, nor should we.

  • I was a single parent when I had my first son. I was suppose to marry the father of my son. He changed his mind and decided he didn’t want me or the baby. But if I got an abortion, he would’ve allowed me to stay.

Needless to say, this story had a good ending for me; I got rid of the BF, had my baby, and raised my son to the best of my ability. Life is good now and I’ve NEVER regretted my decision…

  • @MyTwoCentss - The point is that it’s not really a Pro-choice stand. It’s Prochoice only if a person accepts abortion. I do not. I feel abortion violates our constitution inthat “All our created equal” except the unborn. In order to have slavery it had to be said that some weren’t human.

  • @hevcoh - nor should we condemn a segmention of our society to death

  • @armnatmom - thanks for sharing that

  • @Randy7777 - I have an issue with G-d not guaranteeing a right to life, so why would humans?

  • @hevcoh - I was speaking of the Constitution of the United States

  • @Randy7777 - Which pretty much guarantees freedom of religion, and it’s only a Judeo-Christian value (more Christian than Judeo) that would ban abortion.

  • @hevcoh -  The original intentions of America’s founding fathers was that of Christianity. The USA is based upon a Republic form of government, which is one nation under God. (The Christian God)

  • @Randy7777 - …and I’m sure that the Constitution states that explicitly. (it does not) Without written proof within the document, the intentions of your founding fathers–many of who were not Christians–is irellevant.

  • @hevcoh - I disagree with you. Many were Christians a few were not, but those few such as Jefferson and Franklin did ascribe to Christian ideas. If you go back and read the founding fathers intentions you will see that Christianity was the foundation of the early documents. The Declaration of Independence does state it very clear.

  • @Randy7777 - …and this is exactly why most of the world correctly believes that Americans are generally not capable of critical thinking and text analysis.

  • I’ve been thinking about how polarized our country is, with everyone defending their ground so loudly they can’t hear anything from the other folks.  This seems a good way to start a dialog about this issue.
