86,400
I gave a thought of the day to a group of people last Tuesday. If 86,400 dollars was deposted in an account each day, what would you do with it? The money had to be spent that day. Any left over would be gone. Each day we get 86,400 seconds. A few hours after that I was called to the hospital. A very close friend of mine was dying. I spent several hours at the hospital as he was close to the end. I sat in silence. I listened as people sang songs he loved. I soaked in bible verses that loved ones were reading. I remembered with his family the different stories he created. I didn’t want to leave as I knew I would never experience time like this ever again.

Good word.
I think my first step would be to hire one of those spend like a drunk sailor politicians as my financial adviser.
Sorry about your friend. Hugs! I have no idea what I’d do with that money.
@KnightInCROATIANarmor - Thanks

Thoughtful words.
I’m sorry about your friend.
About the money… I am a banker. I won’t use or spend money that’s not mine.
I’m so sorry about your friend, and I’m glad he had so many loved ones with him–I can’t help but think it’s easier that way.
If I ever had tons of money, I would hire a live-in chauffeur so I didn’t have to drive, and a Bentley limo which probably takes $86,000 worth of gas to get anywhere.
Hi Randy … Your post was simply beautiful to me. I would want to go that same way – hearing my favorite songs having scriptures read. He must have been a blessed man. Death is hard, but made easier when you’re ready to go. Thank you for sharing.
As far as the money … I for sure couldn’t use that much, so I would find charities and needy people/situations to give it to. Blessings to you.
You and your friends are blessed to have one another.
When my grandmother died this past Christmas Eve, we sang carols with her and read her Psalms. We spent a couple days in shifts just being around her telling stories, laughing and just surrounding her with love. She was in and out of consciousness but she did make song request and smiled a lot. I can’t think of a better send off.
