Collin Powell was on Jay Leno last night. He said some interesting things. One being that we can have disagreements with adversaries but we shouldn’t make enemies. He mentioned Reagan and Tip O’neill. They could be in disagreement over an issue but then come together and have a meal. They were adversaries but not enemies. He said that politicians of today should have a spirit of compromise as Reagan did.

Reagan said that he got 70% or more of what he wanted from Democrats. That is just not possible today as “compromise” now means doing everything the Democrat way.

I wish we had a LIKE button on Xanga … but then that would make life too much easier. Reagan was a good man. Wish we had more like him.
