Honor
I’m reading a book that takes place in the 1500′s. I like any books that Gilbert Morris writes. In one section of the book it was talking about “laying your honor in the dust.” Morris always has a character in his books that strive for great honor. That led me to my question:
What is honor to you?

I’m sure my son who was in the military -army 8yrs could tell you better then I could.
I just reap the benifities I’m sure.
I guess it’s when you standup for your country and think you country is the best.
@Babyboomerjill - Thanks – Have a great Memorial Day.
Doing what is right when adversity can stand in the way…
Believing in all that is good, and standing by one’s Faith, when Evil is all around us, or when pressure is thrust upon us…
@Randy7777 - same to you my friend
Honor is always doing the thing that makes your grandmother brag about you even when doing the dishonorable thing would be easier and more beneficial to you. I guess the motto of the United States Naval Academy (of which my son is a graduate) says it all…”does not lie, cheat or steal”.
Being honest and telling the truth when the pressure to lie is set before you.
Honor is like bravery. It has a lot to do with doing the right thing when you’d rather be doing something else.
@armnatmom - Agreed
@RaZeHeLL - I like that.
Honor is to love God with all my heart and my neighbor as myself.
Honor is doing the right thing, no matter how hard.
