The Boy And The Filberts
Boy put his hand into a jar of Filberts, and grasped as many as his fist could possibly hold.
But when he tried to pull it out again, he found he couldn't do so, for the neck of the jar was too small to allow of the passage of so large a handful.
Unwilling to lose his nuts but unable to withdraw his hand, he burst into tears.
A bystander, who saw where the trouble lay, said to him, "Come, my boy, don't be so greedy: be content with half the amount, and you'll be able to get your hand out without difficulty."
Moral: Do not attempt too much at once.
I once read that people can catch monkeys much the same way. The monkey can't get his hand out of a trap because of his hand grasping "the prize". I may be strange but I live by the following illustration: (It's a Children's Pastor mind set.-lol) -A plate spinner. Some people can spin only one plate at a time, others 2 and still others several. Each person must decide how many plates they can spin at a time. I personally (figuratively speaking) can spin about 3 or 4 unless one of the plates is huge, then I can only spin one. I'm at a time right now that I have one huge plate and so I'm putting down the other plates temporarily.
How many plates can you spin? (figuratively speaking)
