Peace
“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” - Romans 5:1 NASB
On a recent “Muslim Journey to Hope” program, a former Muslim related that, in his youth, he was so devout his family followed his example and became “quite religious.” He prayed, read the Koran, and bought many books to help him understand the religion. But he still wasn’t content and “didn’t have the assurance” he was going to Heaven. He dreamed “about the day of judgment” and knew he wasn’t ready. He “tried to be a good person,” but there was “something missing.” He just “couldn’t feel peace.”
Then he met a Christian woman who told him what a difference Jesus made in her life. He started reading the Bible she gave him, initially just to improve his English. As he had questions, the woman prayed with him. He began experiencing “a tremendous change…I could feel God. I could feel someone there listening to me.” He learned that Jesus died for his sins and that he would go to Heaven if he accepted Him as his Savior.
He started going to church and heard how Jesus is humble and gentle and how He carries our burdens. One Sunday, the man went forward, prayed with the pastor, and accepted Jesus. He remembers so vividly, “It was just a very beautiful experience. I can never forget the joy I felt. Jesus really changed my life.” For the first time, he felt really free. He had peace and the assurance that he was going to Heaven.
Today, as this former Muslim learned, “There is no peace apart from Jesus.” He “is the only way.”
Make sure your life is right with the Lord and that you have peace. Spend time with Him. Let Him change you. Dedicate your life to helping others know the Good News.

@oh_mother_may_I - My other computer crashed. -mother board. The computer I’m using is a really old lab top.
you don’t need to respond to me cause I can hear it all now.
I have known Jewish folks and Muslims who have a God but maybe aren’t christians but I don’t see that that has to be a requirement to be God fearing religious folks. They and I have gotten into discussion and I try to repect thier beliefs and them mine and we get alone fine.
Anytime anyone becomes closer to God is a time to celebrate.
never ceases to amaze me how powerful the word of God can be! GLORY!!!!!!!!!!!
Amen to that!
And the angels rejoiced in heaven, too.
Thanks for the reminder.
@nunyaincognito - I’m so grateful for the grace of God.
@jillcarmel - Religion is mans way to God. Everyone will go to the god they believe in. I want to make sure I go to the Only True God.
@Randy7777 - yes,being in the catholic church I’ve heard this all my life but who is to say the Jewish God is not the true one or Alla? I am just a little brain and as long as they believe in God I respect their choice.
@jillcarmel - If there is more than one way to God then Jesus is a liar.
@Randy7777 - now you sound like the catholics.
@jillcarmel - LOL – I grew up catholic. Have a good day.
@Randy7777 - can you at least admit that the other folks -believe just as strong as you do in their God?
@jillcarmel - Sure – Someone can believe or not believe in the law of gravity – it doesn’t change the fact of that law. The absolute is with God – not what we believe or don’t believe. The Bible is an impossible book. -40 authors over a period of 4000 years and no contradictions. In the Bible the plan of how to go to heaven is explained very clearly. Only one way – Jesus.
@Randy7777 - you win.
it reminds me of when I went for help when I got divorced and the therapist said can you admit that maybe your husband has changed his feelings toward you and wants out of the marriage? and I said,”but in the bible it says…..” I finally had to admit that he saw things differently then me and he had a right to the way he felt and saw things.
@jillcarmel - That has to be the greatest mystery about God. He gives us all the free will to feel & act however we want to.
