I loved Foghorn!! the stupid govt … they pull this stunt every so often … maybe they want to believe we think they were actually working …
@windupherskirt - @windupherskirt - . I was in the first government shut down. My senator called me and was surprised when I told him I wasn’t geTting paid. He didn’t have a clue.
Ok now it is funded through Thursday and I wish these idiots would start working together for the people who elected them and stop this crap.

@tymedancer - I look at it differently. Although I hate the idea of the government shutting down, I do like the democratic process. Other countries kill each other over ideas.

Speedy Gonzales was my favorite, and now he is no where to be found.
I also really love Tom and Jerry- I still watch it. The episode where they’re musketeers is my favorite.

I love Foghorn Leghorn! As a kid I used to love to watch The Smurfs. If I had to pick who you’d be then I guess I’d say Grandpa Smurf cause I picture you as a hardworking man with good morals and very wise.

Inasmuch as she had her own comic book when I was a child, I think my choice is Wonder Woman. Foghorn Leghorn with that voice was always funny to me as were many of the old time cartoon characters.
Thanks for checking my post. I appreciate your comment. The church where I was a member as a teenager did not observe Lent, but I later chose to afficliate with a liturgical denomination. The observance of rites and various seasons is spiritually nourishing to me, I think.

@DonnaLou - I’m at an Assembly of God. We don’t do things the same too much. Maybe we should?
@Randy7777 - I don’t think it’s required that all Christians engage in the same kind of rites, rituals, devotional practices. I believe acts of devotion, whatever they be, should be for spiritual nourishment. The choice of which ones can be determined by what we sense best nourishes spiritually. I think that is a good thing. I have enjoyed visiting churches who practice different forms of worship. This morning I attended 9:30 AM service at my church because I needed to be elsewhere later. It is considered “contemporary” and totally different from the “traditional” services at 8:15 & 11:00 AM.
