    Obama claims he has it.
Should there be a public outcry about the birth certificate or
should Donald get a new message?

  • Long Lost Friend

I had a good friend when I was in the Navy.  His name was Vinnie D'Amico.  I lost track of him. He was one of those people who changed my life.  He said things to me at the right time and right place and set me on the road that I'm on today.  Sometimes I would like to reconnect with him. But I wonder if he's not doing good, then do I want to know?  Not sure.

Do you have a long lost friend that you would love to reconnect with?  What was that person like?

Family Feud Question: Name something for which people often arrive late.

  • In a Movie

In my Navy days, I and a handful of sailors were taken to a movie set - Winds of War.
The set was filmed on a dock in Southern California.  The scene was the Pearl Harbor attack.  We were put in old sailor uniforms.  Some were officers, others regular sailors.  We all took our place. The director yelled, “Action”.  The Japanese planes flew in. The bombs went off. Stunt actors flew in the air.  It was so real.  That memory lives on in my mind.  It changed the way I saw movies from that point on.
The movie was a best seller mini series, called Winds of War.  I saw Robert Mitchum in one of his scenes.

  • NBA Trickery

Luis Scola and Yao Ming are two of the top 15 foreign-born NBA players in 2008-09 (Getty Image)Basketball players in the NBA are finding creative ways to trick the officials.  When a player hits the deck, he increases his chance of getting a call.  The players are simply too big, the action too fast, for humans to catch everything.  Those watching at home are blessed to see the mistakes the officials are making and the trickery used with advanced technology.  When one watches College Basketball you won't see the Bugs Bunny "drama".

Lay off the NBA because this is just a tactic the basketball players use, besides it makes it interesting.  or
This is teaching society that tricking authority is ok.   or
    I really don't care because I don't like basketball.

  • Swat Team

    YanktonShot
"Help Dad" "Help Dad" This was the last words from a young 25 year old
woman to her Dad in her last moments when  she called him.  That was
last week when she was shot in her car by her boyfriend, who in turn
shot himself but lived. So now the small city of Yankton is very jumpy.
We hardly ever have any thing like this. We don't even lock our doors,
thus the reason why the barefoot bandit could make himself at home
in a resident's dwelling last summer.
Yesterday shots rang out and all schools shut down and the swat team
assembled.  My older daughter called me and told me that Beetle School
was on lock down and police were around the area.  We only live a few
blocks, so I walked over there. No kids were around the school. The
    police couldn't find the shooter.

Do you have much crime where you're at?

  • Reveal?

I'm reading a book.   A girl has been locked away in a basement all her childhood.  She is rescued by the police and is now in Social Services, with a foster family. She is a young teen and knows nothing about the world except the horrible things that happened to her in that basement.  She hasn't been to school.

You are the foster family.  What would you teach her first? Why? What would you tell her about her world?

    ABC's Personality

Word of the Day - Altuism

    desk
This is a front part of my desk.  My grandson and then a picture
of me when I was a teen.  I hated my picture when I was a teen. I
hated myself.  I put the picture here to remind myself to love me.
Did you like yourself when you were a teen?

  • Famous

President Obama wishes he could go to the supermarket like a regular guy and longs to people-watch in Central Park. "I just miss - I miss being anonymous," he said. "I miss Saturday morning, rolling out of bed, not shaving, getting into my car with my girls, driving to the supermarket, squeezing the fruit, getting my car washed, taking walks. I can't take a walk."
'I just want to go through Central Park and watch folks passing by ... spend the day watching people. I miss that,' says President Obama.

Would you like to be famous? Why or why not?
