Cable
I switch cable companies at least once a year in order to keep the cable bill down. Today Knology is our cable company now. We have internet, DVR TV and long distance on our phone. We paying a little under 100 dollars.
How much are you paying for cable?

Nothing.
We did buy a ROKU though. Don’t use it much but it’s nice to have for a change of venue.
Comcast upped our bill to $200 so I phoned and threatened to quit. I’m not sure what it will be next month, but quite a bit less. We get all the TV channels because my husband wants the financial news networks. We never watch most of them, but of course they don’t let you pick and choose. We also have 2 separate phone lines because my mom has her own line. We don’t have much choice in cable companies in our area.
I’m not! Like @mcbery - , We use the Roku an only pay for Netflix, Amazon Prime and the few shows on Amazon that we like to keep up with. For those, I would rather pay $1.99 for each episode as it comes out rather than the $160/month cable bill just to have the one or two channels our shows were on. We pay less in one year for everything than we were paying in a month with cable/DirecTV. We also get a lot more done because we only watch what we really want to watch instead of mindless TV that sucks us in.
Our TV is not connected. We get our Internet from the phone company.
Less than 50 bucks if I converted Croatian kuna to US dollars.
We don’t have choices in our area…Time Warner has a monopoly on cable. We could get phone and internet other places but not cable tv. The only other option is Dish TV. We pay 160.00 a month for all three, cable, phone and internet.
I have FiOS, not cable, but I’m paying $82 a month for a bundle that includes phone, high-speed Internet, and several hundred TV channels, approximately 15 or so of which I actually care about.
(I didn’t even want most of those channels, but that’s the most basic package that Verizon offers.)
Nothing! We only use our tv for movies. If we really, really like a series, we’ll buy it on dvd. That doesn’t happen often.
No cable here either. We’ve got the free local channels that everyone can have, and Netflix. Between the local channels and Netflix we have plenty of options when we want to watch TV.
We love Knology and have been with them for years. When I get a better offer in the mail from another company, I just call the Knology customer service and ask them to match it. They always have so we don’t even have the hassle of getting set up with someone else. Also, their service people rock.
I’m connected worldwide. Which brings my monthly bill to a grand total of 650.
No cable. We pay for Netflix and stream it on our TV, using our phones for the unlimited 4G internet
My family has direcTV. I think the bill might be around $80.
@mcbery - Thanks
@ata_grandma - That’s expensive
@DirtyAndShaken - Interesting – I may have to check into that.
@sometimestheycomebackanyway - Thanks
@KnightInCROATIANarmor - That’s a great price
@dingdongdingbat - That’s expensive.
@TheSchizoidMan - That’s a good price
@WaitingToShrug - Thanks

@catstemplar2 - Really?
@firetyger - My daughter is doing that also.
@selenedjohnson - Thanks
@Shining_Garnet - That’s not too bad a price
@Randy7777 - My business is all about entertainment. So yeah, I need to stay connected. You should know that by now, man
@Randy7777 - Well part of it is that almost everything we want to watch comes on those free local channels. Then we have to take into consideration that we travel so much (we don’t live in the house for about five months out of the year, sometimes longer) so we can’t justify paying $100+ for TV.
