Blessed are those who believe when there is no evidence of an answer to prayer—who trust beyond hope when all means have failed.
Someone has come to the place of hopelessness – the end of hope – the end of all means. A loved one is facing death and doctors give no hope. Death seems inevitable. Hope is gone. The miracle prayed for is not happening.
That is when Satan’s hordes come to attack your mind with fear, anger, overwhelming questions: “Where is your God now? You prayed until you had no tears left. You fasted. You stood on promises. You trusted.”
Even questioning God’s existence will be injected into your mind. These have been the devices of Satan for centuries. Some of the godliest men and women who ever lived were under such demonic attacks.
To those going through the valley and shadow of death, hear this word: Weeping will last through some dark, awful nights – and in that darkness you will soon hear the Father whisper, “I am with you. I cannot tell you why right now, but one day it will all make sense. You will see it was all part of my plan. It was no accident. It was no failure on your part. Hold fast. Let me embrace you in your hour of pain.”
This was not an ordinary devotion. It was the last devotion that David Wilkerson would write. He would die in a car accident the next day – Wednesday, April 27, 2011. I’m sure his wife and family will read these words over and over again.
I will miss you David Wilkerson, founder of Teen Challenge. I will miss your daily devotions
If this were your last day, what would you want to say?
Teen Mom and 16 and Pregant seems to be popular among the younger audience. It shows the good with the bad. I was reading some of the interviews of teen girls on the east coast that made a pact to get pregnant. Several said they wanted someone to love them – thus the baby. I can’t wonder how this unbalanced child care will permanently affect the child. I’ve seen parents that “needed” their child. They wouldn’t leave until the child was good crying.
Are these shows glamorizing young teen pregancy?
Are these shows helping discourage teen pregancy?
If a teen has a baby for the wrong reason, will the child be damaged?
President Obama said that the “birth certificate” issue was a distraction. He went on to say that America had more important things to do.
What are the important things that the US should be concentrating on?
Not sure if it’s the weather or what, but I’m dealing with irratation. One particular area of irratation is when someone advertises themself. I got an email yesterday from someone wanting to say something to me. The writer used 3/4 of the email stating how busy she was. She then went on to list everything she was doing. She was encouaging me or so the email said.
What are your Pet Peeves?

Sometimes Christians get told here on xanga that we’re closed minded. Other names are used as well. It doesn’t bother me but it does get me to think. This “name calling” group helps me refine what I believe and how I believe it. That is a good thing. I’m hoping to get both sides of this issue in the comments.
What defines an “open minded” person? What defines a “close minded” person? If a person believes in absolute truth from the Bible does that make that person a “close minded” person? Is that OK?
We’re headed to a Easter Drama. Then a short nap. Then family is coming over here for a Easter Meal. Kid’s – egg hunt.
