  • Prayer

I couldn’t imagine life without prayer.  When I get in bad moods I pray until I’m out of it.  When fear goes I pray until it’s gone.  Lately I’ve found myself praying more because of the battles.

How much do you pray a day?

    Psalms 31:1-2
    Word of the Day: Altuism
I’d like to be known as a altuism, but it is something that I have to continually work at.

  • Summer

I enjoyed this past summer.  We were able to get away several times and I was greatly refreshed.  I think my most memoriable moment was when we were camping out by the river.  Gavins Point Dam was in flood release and the sound of rushing waters could be heard in the stillness of the morning.  I will always cherish that moment.

What was your highlight of the summer?

    Psalms 30:8-12
    Word of the Day: nonplus
It’s not too often that I’m nonplused.

  • Happy Birthday Alicia

    Chef's cookingDSC00483.JPG

We took Alicia out for her birthday last night.  She wanted to go to a Japanese restauant that cooks right at your table.  We hear the same jokes – spinning an egg and calling it a egg roll.  It was a lot of fun.

What is your favorite type of restaurant?

    Word of the Day: baksheesh
Since I love to plan, baksheesh is not something I’ve ever done.
    Psalms 30:6

  • Relationship

In our food giveaway, we offer a “thought of the day”.  It was my turn on Friday.  I asked the crowd if I went from house to house and said, “let me come into your house because I’m good”, would the resident let me in for that reason?  They laughed.   I then added …. But I could enter the houses of those people who knew me, who shared a relationship with me.  We can enter heaven when we have a relationship with Jesus Christ on God’s terms.

What’s your thoughts, good or relationship, in order to enter heaven?

It’s my daughter Alicia’s birthday today.  She graduated with a business degree a few years ago.  She is a beautian.  Alicia loves to do remodeling jobs.  She just put a nice floor in the bathroom.  I’ve also seen her with a jack hammer tearing up cement.  She loves kids.

    Psalms 30:6

  • Canning

    canning
My wife loves to can food.  She made spaghetti sauce, salsa, tomato jelly, corn and tomatoes.

Do you can food or store up food?

    Psalms 30:5
    Word of the Day: ruminate
I am ruminating the thought of my daughter getting married.
Question: What was the greatest day of your life?

  • Terminal Condition

I woke up this morning with this thought on my mind: I have a terminal condition.  I will die.  I’m not sick and I don’t have an incurable illness.  But one day I will die.  I will live life even more today because of that thought, since it could be my last.

Do you think of dying very much?

  • Nice?

There have been times I have not said something to a person because of not wanting a  conflict.  At times it’s probally good that I took the “nice” route but there are times it’s not.

Do you tend to be nice or do you speak your mind in every situation?

    Psalms 30:4
    Word of the Day:somnolence
I have no somnolence today since I got a really good nights sleep?  How about you?

Question:  What is an emotion that you’ve had a lot of lately?

  • Good or Bad?

It’s really the best of times for us and the worst of times. We’re looking at a November 1st for our adoptions to go through.  We also may have another announcement to make. I’m so wanting to do it now but I can’t.  That’s the best of times.  My teens have been getting themselves into trouble over the past few weeks.  We’re looking at court dates for that.  I’m choosing to live in the best of times.

Do you tend to go towards the best or the worst?

    Psalms 30:3

Question:  What was the best moment in your life?
