Hell

I listened to a speaker this past weekend talk about his experience. He said God showed him hell. He talked about a scene in a cell without any strength. Bill said that in hell all of God’s attributes are taken away and the includes strength.
Psalms 29:11The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace.Do you believe hell is a real place? Who will go there?

No.
I believe people often have a different interpretation of hell. In one interpretation I saw in Singapore, there was something called the 10 Courts of Hell. Depending on how immorally you lived your life depends on how many courts you go through; the more moral, the less courts. Each court showcased a different form of torture. The final court is where you drink an elixir from a bowl to forget and your life begins again; basically reincarnation.
Yes i do. And i believe those who reject Christ will be there. Its sad, but if separation from God is what they want here, then why would God force them to be with Him for all eternity?
Who will go there? Well, I won’t!
I used to have a hard time with the concept of hell. Now I believe in it. I know that God is so pure that he can’t have anyone with evil in their heart by his side.
@laytexduckie - I agree. And the Singapore interpertation was very interesting to read about.
Yes, I believe in Hell and the Bible tells us who will go there. I sure won’t be going there!
I think some people will really be surprised when they find themselves in hell.
Yes, I believe hell is a real place and I believe I’ll go there.
I like peace. I do believe in hell, and it’s not my place to say who will go there, that’s God’s job.
I will go to hell. Bring it on.
god showed him hell? really?
No but if there was one you and all the other evangelical preachers should go there for trying to scare people. @maniacsicko - yeah right.
I think is a powerful metaphor… Vanilla Ice should go there lol jk
I do believe hell is a real place. It was created for the devil and his angels. But, unfortunately, everyone who rejects salvation through Christ will got here too.
Started to read a book called 23 minutes in Hell (something like that). Can’t remember the authors name. The man was a Christian who was given a vision from “God” in a dream.
The story didn’t ring true at all.
I think stories are more credible when the person involved was determined to have been clinically dead by a qualified person. There are a number of these stories. The added testimony of “witnesses” (who have nothing to gain) and medical documentation makes them more believable.
Don Piper’s experience, for instance, is worth reading. Howard Storm PhD.’s, former Atheist, experience in Hell is also compelling.

@RulerofMasons - You don’t know what you are asking. Repent.
I appreciate the warning, but I don’t think we need people to tell us of their personal experience in Hell to believe in it. Everything we need to know is in the Bible.
LOL! It’s just a tool to manipulate and control the weak of mind.
I’m so wicked, hell doesn’t motivate me.
@NightCometh - I know there is a hell because in my world people are skinned alive. When we die, we will ALL experience profoundly immeasurable pain. The earth is heaven. Get ready for fire. An endless cycle. The big bang was created by an explosion. It is hatred that governs the universe. It is impossible for conciousness to destroy itself. Therefore life is an infinite cruelty, regardless if you’re nice, kill a child, or murder six million.
Are you van gogh?
No.
@laytexduckie - I’m inclined to agree with you. I’ve read of the same thing.
I think there is a heaven/hell but it’s intellectual. What I mean is, if you grew up thinking Heaven is pearly gates and clouds and Hell is a lake of fire, then depending on if you think you are good or bad, you might go to those places. Kind of like on What Dreams May Come when she committed suicide. If you read Heaven is for Real, I found it full of Christian propaganda, but I truely think the little boy was telling the truth… it was just what idea he was exposed too.
I could believe that he was shown hell….but then I was shown heaven (for me). It was a few weeks after my love died and I dreamed I was walking through an immaculate cemetary with marble angel statues and white marble headstones. The grass was cut perfectly and the roads were white…but then it ended in a green meadow with trees and a hill in the background. Yellow flowers….but it’s the feeling that I felt most in the dream and I still remember it to this day. It was the feeling of peace. I think because I’ve been exposed to so much to death, that will be my heaven for me. I base this information off of the many NDE stories that I’ve read and they were all different, but in each story the message that was given to them is that we are suppose to love. I believe that this is what we are suppose to do.
I believe in Hell.
Yes. It is also alive, technically, albeit not according to our understanding of organisms. But yes, it has characteristics of a creature.
God knows best who will go there.
I’ve read some comments on here that blow my mind. Bring it on? Even some that make fun of the Word? This is a serious question. I keep hearing people say that all you have to do to be saved is to believe on Our Lord, Jesus Christ. But don’t we have to be reborn to be able to enter heaven? “Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”(John 3:3).” Can a “Christian” explain that to me (what does it mean to be reborn? Let’s say you believe but you keep sinning, do you still go to heaven?).
Yes, I know there’s a hell (from God’s Word = and hell and heaven aren’t : “well, I think hell/ heaven is….”. You aren’t God! Who do you think you are? Do you realize you’re putting your ‘feelings’ and thoughts above God’s Truth?!). And to boast? Even satanists know their place, so what does that make an atheist. I know my place. I believe I’ll go to hell.
2Timothy chapter 3
Yep. I believe hell is real. The Bible said it was created for Satan’s judgment, but anyone who chooses to follow his ways will go there with him. Jesus Christ is our salvation! I am so glad I know Him!
Yes, there is a hell. I don’t know what it will be like. There is actually not much mention of hell in the Bible, and there are many different interpretations of what it means. I, for one, don’t care exactly what hell is like. I just know I don’t want to go there, and I don’t want anyone else to go there, either. However, I don’t think we should dwell on hell and the fear of it. I want what drives my faith to be love for God and desire to be with Him, not fear of hell.
@valeriebeth04 - Thanks
@TheFifthHero - Thanks – I think the worse thing about hell is it is devoid of God.
@boricua_chic_2008 - Thanks
@BA94er - Sorry to hear that
@RulerofMasons - Wow
@maniacsicko - He described it in detail – chilling
@CorvyusMorte - Hopefully not
@mtngirlsouth - True
@bakersdozen2 - That is the author I was listening to. Very detailed accounts
@NightCometh - One thing I liked about this speaker was he gave scripture reference of everything he spoke of.
@In_Reason_I_Trust - Thanks for your opinion
@aimooaimoo - Uh?
@hesacontradiction - Thanks for commenting
@DanishDoll - AMEN
@valeriebeth04 - Thanks
@versatil - Thanks for commenting
@BA94er - Agreed – We must do more than believe. – admit we’re a sinner believe Jesus died for our sins and confess Jesus as Savior and Lord
@DanishDoll - Thanks
@Randy7777 - oah… i thought what he describe was summed up in this statement “He talked about a scene in a cell without any strength”.. because that stateent doesn’t sound that horrible…
I believe in hell as much as I believe in heaven.
So then, hell = solitary confinement in prison? I thought the prison systems weren’t so bad…
@LoBornlytesThoughtPalace - Yes you are.
@Randy7777 - Joke. LOL
@Randy7777 - I know that, but what does it mean to be born again
