Obama
President Obama is going to speak to the nation tonight. Word is that he is going to ask for 300,000,000,000 dollars in stimulus for jobs. Obama said yesterday in what appears to be his 2012 campaign strategy is, “Republicans don’t block job growth”. In other words let me spend this 30 billion dollars.
Should the US spend 30 billion dollars for stimulus?
Question: Name a famous presidential moment.

Since I’m first, I’ll take “four score and seven years ago…” as my famous Presidential moment.
Yes, let’s fix the economy by throwing MORE tax payer money at it… cuz that worked SO well in the past. :-
No, we should not.
You should go to Yellowstone; you’re not that far! Enjoyed driving thru South Dakota on our way home. I bet Life Light was great! Take care & God bless!
haha I will go against the flow on your blog and say: the US should spend more than that to get the economy going – and not primarily through tax cuts, as Obama will probably propose to do (according to rumours on the internets)…
Where are we going to get this 30 billion? I thought we were broke.
My famous presidential moment would have to be the Gettysburg address. Why can’t all presidential speeches be that short?
Absolutely not.
@ordinarybutloud - You know that the north came really close to not winning the battle at Gettysburg? In fact the Union Generals were messing up badly and the north needed a win really bad. “Four score and seven years ago” speech was so precious to Lincoln.
@CrystallineFigurines - LOL
@WaitingToShrug - Agreed
@curlyonegurl - I would love to go to Yellowstone. I’m glad you had a great vacation. Did you stop at Wall Drug on your way through South Dakota?
@Zissu25 - Thanks for commenting.
@ata_grandma - As it turned out it is 400 billion. Obama has broken his speech into two parts: Tell us what he wants and part 2- Tell us how he’s going to pay for it. Hopefully there isn’t a part 3.
@ata_grandma - That’s funny about short speech – lol
@stephensmustang - agreed
But of course we went to Wall Drug. ; ) We did bypass the Corn Palace tho. = (
